SB fight phase (combat starts here)
Raid phase (lots of combat)

Desperate to retain gamers.

All they had to do is give gamers a beta test, or at least tell gamers ahead of time it's launching 3 vs 3 and they would of had feedback already, so it'd launch in a better state.

That's what happens when you dont communicate or have a demo/test for a shooter.

5 vs 5 is better too since any gamers dropping off can still have a team that can still win. If a team of 3 drops to 2 or a guy by himself, how is he going to realistically win against an enemy team that is still a trio? Like any shooter, the more players on a team, the more it can absorb dropped teammates. Forum gamers seem to say any dropped teammates dont get subbed in AI bots or join in progress gamers.

I bet they never thought of that since all their internal tests were employees doing QA tests on stable intranet connections where they each played full matches 3 vs 3.

Yeah, I didn't care for the game when I played before, but I'm having a ton of fun with 5v5, I feel like everything just clicked. I lose more than I win but it feels way more possible and varied with 5s.

Apparently 5s is just for the weekend to test it out, but if it sticks around I definitely want to keep playing

The newest patch seems to have made the game crash everytime I start the game on base ps5. Shame, really wanted to try out the 5v5. A reinstall didnt do any good, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I get that some people like it, but you are splitting your still very small audience between two queues, and solo queuers were already having issues finding games in 3v3.

Still not my cup of tea, but a developer that can take it on the chin and then fix their problems, instead of blaming their customers is probably worth having around. I honestly hope they turn it around.

That's exactly what it is for me. I intended it to just be practice as I haven't played a lot of FPS recently, but I have had fun in every match I played so far, and haven't tried the 5v5 mode yet.

I'm ashamed of my words and deeds to you on HIGHGUARD launch day. I did this with Marathon too. Judging a game based on 30 - 60 minutes of playtime is my most retarded personal attribute.

I've had more fun with it each time I've played it. The 3 phases of the game blend really well with eachother.

Economy phase is essentially a deck builder card game with a small chance of getting killed.

The open map shield breaker phase reminds me a lot of Halo Blood Gulch combat.

The siege phase feels like a decent Valorant style game.

That cycle works really well.

If I rated it now it's an 8. There is a lot of tweaks that have to take place and I personally prefer games with a ranked mode for me to grind from the jump.
