The rumor says this month, especially this week. When's the next state of play?
Sometime in February, possibly next week on the 12th if the rumors are true, but we have to wait and see. Sony always has an early SoP at the start of the year and the next one is usually around end of May and early June. Then another in late September during Tokyo Gameshow's week. They might do dedicated ones in between as well to like specific titles, but I am mainly speaking about the main ones that cover a bit of everything. When's the next state of play?
They literally have thousands of developers, probably more than any other single entity in this space (most other publishers will have different studio subsidiaries and such, but Capcom is all on Capcom itself outside of the rare externally-developed joint here and there).- New MonHun Stories
- New Resident Evil
- New Onimoosher (!)
- SF6 ongoing support
- Pragmata
- New Mega Man (!)
- Various collections of old games
- and now potentially new DmC
How fucking big is Capcom now? The pace of their output is insane
Dude I haven't played DMC since DMC 4. Was 5 good?![]()
I have more hope in DMC than NG at this point.

NoDude I haven't played DMC since DMC 4. Was 5 good?
When Kamiya announced that he wanted to work with Capcom on other games, I thought's they'd ask him after Okami. I am also very interested to find out.If true, I'm more interested to find out who the new director will be.
Itsuno left.
Series got really good, With 5 being one of the best in the series.I honestly don't know how this franchise survived the absolute disgusting POS that was DMC2, I completed the game and swore never touching another one because I felt disgusted by it, lmao
Then DMC3 came out and tried so hard to be like the first game but 10x over the top I was completely out, I know I'm in the minority but DMC2 killed the franchise for me
With Dante and Virgil having made up and now killing everything in the demon world,I don't even know where they go with it any more. How many times have Virgil and Dante fought? Surely they won't fight again. Virgil's pretty much a good guy now.
VeryDude I haven't played DMC since DMC 4. Was 5 good?

Huge. Isn't there also another RE make in the production line (hopefully code veronica)
Hmm interesting, I'll have to see. The last DMC I somewhat remember well was DMC 1 and DMC 3. But please let's not speak about DMC 2....Characters, cool-factor and combat-wise? Hell yeah. Level design-wise, dogshit. Take that as you will. There is not a single memorable location in that game. DMC had better and more awesome levels than dmc5.

True. I forgot about that. Mobile games too.
Play it for sure.Dude I haven't played DMC since DMC 4. Was 5 good?
But Sony publishes more new games than Capcom every year.Other publishers could learn from Capcom.
Looking at Sony in particular here.
"Believe me"
Troust me, i'm the sauce, brah"Believe me"
Its the best Ps2 game you've never played. Its that generations mindset with today's technologyDude I haven't played DMC since DMC 4. Was 5 good?
5 is already a great comeback.Still never played 5. I got over this series and it needs a rebirth imo. Same way RE7 needed it.
Pretty much this. It's a massive reset for everyone in the series.5 is already a great comeback.
Wasn't there also a rumor of a DMC remake? Plus Code Veronica coming in 2027, as well as some unannounced Mega Man projects as part of the anniversary next year. There's also the new Dead Rising in development, set in Hollywood.- New MonHun Stories

YeahWasn't there also a rumor of a DMC remake?
Capcom has confirmed multiple times now that they are revisiting a lot of their older franchise. I am just now waiting for the inevitable remake/reboot of Dino Crisis. I hope they'll save this one for a true next-gen dino experience on PS6/Next Xbox only, but I have a feeling it will be a cross-gen title still even if releases in 2028 or 2029.Wasn't there also a rumor of a DMC remake?
