Sometime in February, possibly next week on the 12th if the rumors are true, but we have to wait and see. Sony always has an early SoP at the start of the year and the next one is usually around end of May and early June. Then another in late September during Tokyo Gameshow's week. They might do dedicated ones in between as well to like specific titles, but I am mainly speaking about the main ones that cover a bit of everything.

I just want to know who'll be playing Dante. I hope it's Reuben Langdon—he's been synonymous with the character for over 20 years.
However, he already lost Ken in SF6, so I worry we might see something similar here.

They literally have thousands of developers, probably more than any other single entity in this space (most other publishers will have different studio subsidiaries and such, but Capcom is all on Capcom itself outside of the rare externally-developed joint here and there).
Their output this year is pretty damn good, but it's also at the expense of a stupidly weak 2025 (quantity-wise and arguably quality-wise) with Monster Hunter Wilds as their only new published game. 2022 was a terrible year as well where they did not release a single new game, and something I blame on them stopping focusing on external production collaborations. Just compare that to Square Enix publishing 15 new 'HD' games in 2022 alone.
It's really far behind of what they were putting out on the PS1-PS4 days.

I honestly don't know how this franchise survived the absolute disgusting POS that was DMC2, I completed the game and swore never touching another one because I felt disgusted by it, lmao
Then DMC3 came out and tried so hard to be like the first game but 10x over the top I was completely out, I know I'm in the minority but DMC2 killed the franchise for me

When Kamiya announced that he wanted to work with Capcom on other games, I thought's they'd ask him after Okami. I am also very interested to find out.
Series got really good, With 5 being one of the best in the series.

Characters, cool-factor and combat-wise? Hell yeah. Level design-wise, dogshit. Take that as you will. There is not a single memorable location in that game. DMC had better and more awesome levels than dmc5. The story is a mixed-bag, depends on you, but it's the exact same trope brother vs brother. I gave it a 7, as a fan of the franchise.

Man, what a piece of shit NG4 was - literally a wet fart of a "one and done" game, left me so cold and indifferent that I uninstalled it as soon as I finished it.
Judging by the OT, only senpai Miku and the other Brazilian fella liked it...
Both Silent hill f and NG4 were the biggest disappointments of 2025 for me, the NG franchise is beyond redemption at this point.

GAF has a weird hate boner for it. I think it goes 3-5-1-4-2-DMC.
It's a lot of fun with great replay value. It's still one of the best looking games on ps5 pro or maxed out on pc.

Wasn't there also a rumor of a DMC remake? Plus Code Veronica coming in 2027, as well as some unannounced Mega Man projects as part of the anniversary next year. There's also the new Dead Rising in development, set in Hollywood.

Capcom has confirmed multiple times now that they are revisiting a lot of their older franchise. I am just now waiting for the inevitable remake/reboot of Dino Crisis. I hope they'll save this one for a true next-gen dino experience on PS6/Next Xbox only, but I have a feeling it will be a cross-gen title still even if releases in 2028 or 2029.
