It's funny seeing how dated these older PS2 games are, since I haven't revisited them in a long time. In my head, they looked exactly like the remaster does now lol

I'm very pleased with this remaster. Seems Dynasty Warriors 3 got the Diablo 2 Resurrected treatment and I hope they do the same for Dynasty Warriors 4/5, Samurai Warriors 2 and Warriors Orochi.

Opening up the intro cutscene editor and changing every character into the same one was always one of the best dumb things they let you do in the franchise.
I have played a good number of warriors games over the years, and DW3 still remains the platonic ideal of this concept that has not been--and at this point, will probably never be--replicated.
I'm not even saying its the best or the most fun (Sengoku Basara says hi!). It's deeper than that: if musou were a religion, DW3 is the bible.
Anyway I probably shouldn't get this after spending a zillion hours on it in high school. But I'm still damn tempted.

I totally forgot that this was a thing. The remaster is uh... pretty literal, in the best way possible. I like how they took the shot framing and the animations and recreated them pretty much verbatim. And the actual gameplay just just a bit more spark to it. I'm really impressed.
Also, that butt rock song from the pre-mission planning/map screens is permanently etched into my mind. I love how 24 years later, I still remember that so clearly.
I have never played a mainline game, only Hyrule Warriors.
I know people have their favourites in this franchise. Is this generally considered top tier?
looks great,
i burnt out my passion for any chinese theme games since i played dynasty warriors so many times when I was younger.
now if only they also do it for samurai warrior...
