I was watching a cooking channel on YouTube I follow last week, and the host was going out of his way to mention how he is not calling the Super Bowl by name, because the NFL has targeted businesses and even religious institutions over the years for saying Super Bowl in an ad or pamphlet, etc. The NFL has even tried to copyright "the big game" as well.

I have no problem with a company protecting the rights to the name of one of the biggest events in the world. If you don't protect your product, than anyone can use it, killing its value. They make an insane amount of money licensing products as the "Official _____ of Super Bowl LX" which in turn likely drives sales to that product.

I absolutely cannot stand Kid Rock. Ever since his American Badass song came out, I was done with him. Not an original bone in his body.

I really like Lee Brice, and Brantley Gilbert has some good songs, but I really try to avoid overly political things these days so I couldn't bring myself to watch that alternative half time show.
