Well good sir, would you like to buy a box?Why is this breaking my brain so much...
Sometimes, with these multi meme postings, I feel that one reaction option is simply not enough!
Can someone explain the logic to me? Because I lean rather on the left with societal issues, but in Europe this is not even a conversation of not having voter ID - you need to present an ID document so they can check against the voters' list and mark that you have been given a voting card.
nah, you don't. At least in Germany, you get a card in the mail to vote. If you loose that, then you need ID.Can someone explain the logic to me? Ok, but you get the card mailed to you. So at least you need a verified address, and probably some sort of registration beforehand to get the card. So either way there is some sort of verification of your identity, whether to get the voting card or to get an ID.nah, you don't. At least in Germany, you get a card in the mail to vote. In the UK that only happened in the last local round of voting. Prior to that I could go in on the date of the election and as long as I knew the surname and address of my neighbour I could just give their name in after me or later in the day and vote again.Ok, but you get the card mailed to you. People here think it's racist to require ID because not everyone has an ID. They need IDs for having a bank account, flying on a plane, or driving a car, among many other things requiring ID but for voting in a Federal election is bad for some reason. Can someone explain the logic to me? I guess this is probably something along the lines of "not everyone has an ID document, and you can't gate people's right to vote"?
Well you do need ID to pretty much do anything from using a bank to picking up your kid at school. In theory, shouldn't be a problem.nah, you don't. At least in Germany, you get a card in the mail to vote. If you loose that, then you need ID.
Explanation for the US: The right thinks that the left is using illegal aliens to get votes. Which hasn't really been proven, from what I recall. That's all for politics now.
In Australia you walk up and say your name and they ask if you've voted already today. That's it lolnah, you don't. At least in Germany, you get a card in the mail to vote. If you loose that, then you need ID.

It's not just the illegal aliens. There's concern about people being able to vote in the name of a deceased person. Removal from voter rolls isn't automatic so votes can be illegally made in this manner easily without ID requirements.nah, you don't. At least in Germany, you get a card in the mail to vote.
