Do you have Game Pass subscription?

I randomly subscribed some months ago because there was free month or so to test it out, didn't even realize that automatic payments were enabled, and the subscription continued... now looking what games I can play online with other gamers. I already have a backlog of purchased games, but it's really fucking great that some more games are simply there to download
You?

I did awhile ago, but I don't currently as there's nothing that interests me. If they add a bunch of new games that I care about, I could see myself getting it again for a month or so, and then dropping it again as it's usually the cheapest route to check the games out.

I had a PC Game Pass sub back around 2018/2019 due to the $1 ultimate conversion deal. Didn't have any modern Xbox.

Windows Store and their shitty experience killed it for me. Games not appearing on the service, games not updating, a full reinstall every time a new Halo game was added to MCC.

Between the price increases, limited selection, and it largely having an inferior catalogue to PS+ (except for some of the actual good newer releases since acquiring ATVI) I have had no desire to subscribe. Maybe I will for one month to play some shorter new AAA games, but it has been cheaper to just buy and own them when I'm ready to play.

Continuous subscription to this service makes absolutely no sense. Just sub for a month when there are 2-3 games you want to try out. Most of what's on offer there, is dirt cheap to buy elsewhere.

Currently? Yes, but generally no.

I generally just subscribe for a month when there are games I want to play/try and turn off recurring billing. 1 month codes can be found on eBay for like $15 every day, or half of the time you can subscribe and cancel and Microsoft will give you your money back.

Haven't been a member for a while, and I won't resub until the new games get me excited. I treat Netflix the same way.

It's great being able to play my backlog whenever I want. My retro love is back too. Thanks for a great three years though.

No, I haven't used the Xbox in ages, and my PC's are all Linux now.

I do have a Windows boot for the few things Linux struggles with.

Nope, I just don't like the idea. I want to play what I want when I want and not worry about if it is on their current list of games available. Also, I mostly know what I want to play, and my backlog is way past 100 games, so I am not concerned about potential gems I might come across.

For five more months I do, but honestly, these days, I have to be reminded that its there.

Price hikes and screwing up all incentives for using MS Rewards killed it for me.

Thank you, Phil

I have been subbed non-stop from 2019 - 2027 with GP Ultimate, using it only on PC. Always through various cheap ways so it came down to roughly 60 - 80 bucks a year. For that money it is a good deal, but once it expires next year I do not think I will be extending, unless I find it again for max 80 bucks per year (and that is unlikely).

I've had it since the start. Still have it.
Though I moved to PC Gamepass when I gave up on consoles back in 2023.
The recent price increase has me thinking about quitting.
The past few months have not been a compelling reason to stick around.
I probably would have quit last month but I got an Ally X for Christmas, and it came with 3 months of Gamepass.

The Blizzard stuff you get on PC is sweet.

Used to. It's dirt cheap on PC but at some point I realized I wasn't playing anything there and unsuscribed.

Plus more than a few recent events have made really hate MS as a company and I rather don't give them my money.

Nope. Of course, I'm on PS5, so that makes it a little difficult. But I'm not the kind of customer GP is designed for. I don't play that much, I have narrow tastes, and I don't mind buying games.

No. Used to subscribe but won't anymore. If I want to play a game I will just buy it on Steam. I really dislike the subscription model, games disappearing from the library and so on.

Yes, GPU, cd keys. Last code I bought was £32 for 3 months. Just the right kind of price.

In the meantime, I have amassed £70 from MS rewards that would normally pay for GPU. Might keep saving it up so I can buy the next COD outright, and drop down to the premium tier.

I don't currently, been on a 4 month break so far, will probably sign back up around Forza Horizon 6 release. Or if I figure it out about the time FH5 will get delisted so that I can get FH5 for free (I just have the premium upgrade).

Finally gave up on PC Game Pass a few months ago after having Game Pass since day one.

I don't miss it at all. I forget that it's even a thing.

Now I buy games (usually on sale). Purchasing them makes me invested, so I'm more likely to play more and even beat it.

I'm much happier, to be honest.

It works great for my household. I use it on PC, while the rest of the family uses it on Xbox. We get plenty of use out of it, so it's definitely worth it for us. With games here sometimes reaching a cost of $90 for a standard version, it doesn't take much to get good value.

Yep. I think I have it through 2029 or so.

I had it for 7 months,
1 month from free trial years ago,
3 months from legion go s back in 2025,
and 3 months from xbox ally x this year.

I am not going to continuing the subscription though.

No. I don't like the pressure of feeling that I should be playing a Game Pass game to take advantage of the sub. If I didn't have a backlog then yeah it would be a good service for me, although I still prefer owning the games.
