She doesn't seem like she plays games, but Phil plays games and look how that turned out. Gamers don't know how to run a business, look at all the failures of veteran game makers opening up their own studio. Bringing in an outsider to reset the culture at the Xbox division could be a good thing. Her resume is impressive in such a short time and at least it's not some old crusty dude taking over, bringing in someone young like her could be a good thing, she's hungry to prove herself.

People just don't like any of the Microsoft execs, because everything around Xbox has been steadily declining since the Xbox One reveal.
No matter who takes over is going to spend years undoing the damage to this brand, and there is no confidence/faith in them. A company that has endorsed DEI policy publicly on their webpages, and tried to stuff AI into everything...is optically not gonna give this lady a warm welcome. She's got a big ship to turn around, if Microsoft even cares at this point since cloud computing makes them more than Windows + Xbox combined.

More Law is Dead said last week that the Xbox Magnus had already reached the stage where canceling it would be irrational, it would only be a loss... All the costs, the development which is the most expensive part, had already been completed.
Now it's just the irrelevant cost of manufacturing and the cost of the hardware will be paid by the consumer, like any other product.

Well I wanted him out and for them to return to the foundation they built with their original console and then the 1st half of the 360 generation pretty much within months of him taking over. It was always easy to see through his bullshit, and I wanted that to happen while I still owned an Xbox console and was still invested in the ecosystem. So in that sense, I didn't win.
But seeing how his dumbass intellectually dishonest groupies and the outright shills/ambassadors/MVPs have fallen for his bullshit over the years and then blamed the likes of me (along with anyone else who dared call out his mismanagement and his lies), have been left with little else than a bunch of egg on their faces... Well yeh, that's certainly been satisfying to watch, especially since it's become a slow torturous death, in true Microsoft fashion. They really are getting what they deserve.
Those aforementioned individuals literally turned Xbox in to a weird cult, and the Microsoft execs sat back, allowed it to happen, and even encouraged it in most instances.
In totality, it's bittersweet since it didn't have to be like this. But I'm 100% glad to have walked away from that shitshow of an "ecosystem" when I did.
