To put that $500 million in context, thats the whole entirety of the game. Thats development, manufacturing, marketing and so forth, he said. It sounds like a big amount but it doesnt just fuel one aspect.
I think it shows the confidence that we have in Destiny. Its what Activision does best; when we partner with a development studio that can deliver a game like Destiny, we can bring that to market. Theres every indication that the launch will be something everyone will enjoy.
A multiplayer shooter with a couple of maps, no quests, no story...costs so much? How?
I guess a company of 800+ employees on (and I'm guessing here) an average wage of 100k a year, that's a lot of expenses. Plus their CEOs are probably on multi-million salaries too.Have to pay for those consultants to tell them how to appease the modern audience.
