The game currently has multiple login issues, which might be affecting numbers:

So will the peak for today be in 5 more hours?
It depends if the game peaks today in the EU peak (which normally is around now) or in the US peak (normally around 5 hours from now).

We're also in Thurday, normally games peak during the first or (less frequently) second weekend. So the peak may not be today.

I do wonder what the PS/PC split is. if it's close to 50:50 then it's already 150k combined, and if it retains even half that long-term I'd say that's a success

Fuck, not good for all the memes I have prepared if it failed.

Seems like a good start. Games usually peak on their first weekend so we'll see how high it goes.

Edit: for the record I have no skin in this game. It's not my cup of tea and I'm not trying to defend it lol

Probably 2 PC : 1 Console at least.
It's probably the exact opposite. Majority of Destiny players are on console

I would be pretty embarrassed if I paid 3.6 billion for a studio only to rake in less revenue than an indie card game.
are steam charts by rev or sale count? because StS 2 is almost half the price of Marathon (less if you count deluxe sales) so they'd have to be double to beat their rev

also StS 2 is a sequel to a highly highly successful and popular game with a much larger audience

Marathon is new IP in a genre with a much smaller potential base.

Well, at least they kept the CCU from the last day of the server slam. A miracle needs to happen for this to hit 150k+ over the weekend. Heck copium sniffers can only hope that we don't see a repeat of the server slam and numbers drop by 50% over the weekend.

Mega Crit has less than half a dozen employees.
