Now that people who play games on youtube are all streamers instead of lets players if I want to see a game being played I usually just look up a no commentary video. I don't need to hear someone pretending to be friendly to their viewers every few minutes lol.

I like moist critikal and he's far from the worst player, but the way he plays games is infuriating to watch sometimes. He's one of those people that just try to brute force their way through every game. He often ignores a lot of the mechanics and will just default to cheese methods off rip. He can make even the best games look terrible and clunky.

There are plenty of reasons people watch others play games. Personally, I mostly watch streamers who do speedruns

For example, there's a guy who attempts no-hit runs of all the Souls games back-to-back, which is honestly insane to watch. The skill and consistency required are on another level

And sometimes it's just about experiencing games you wouldn't play yourself. Take something like Resident Evil, I'd probably never play it because I'm too easily scared, but I still enjoy watching a few streamers go through it

True dat. I had to stop playing a RE remake and Alien Isolation, but I can watch anything and enjoy it. It's very different to be in the driver seat. The immersion in games is just too much compared to movies.
