Tragedy Girls: F-
Such a terrible movie, had two very annoying and pretentious female leads. The jokes weren't funny and the movie felt super condescending
Book of Shadow Blair Witch 2: F
Terrible plot with a twist I saw coming from a mile away
The Severed Sun: F
Had good cinematography and interesting lore surrounding the creature. I even liked the look of the creature. But it was very predictable when it came to it's gender politics
Don't Look Away: F
This one was super weird due to them outright riping off The Shining in certain scenes. Wasn't scary at all and the only interesting thing about the movie was the mannequin but hardly anything is revealed about it other than it's weakness which is if it directly looks at itself in a mirror, it can't move
Demonic: D
Boring derivative plot with underdeveloped characters. The plot was predicatable too to the point where I figured out the twist before it was gonna to happen
Cold Storage: D
Predicatable plot and had boring action scenes
Plus the female lead is annoying and I wasn't a fan of the ending
Liam Nelson was the only good thing about the film
We Have Always Lived In The Castle: C
I liked the set design but the whole movie was just a slog for me to get through
Silent House: B+
I remembered his film being marketed as a movie that only had one take. It was shot in multiple takes but they were super smart in how they hid the editing. It's Elizabeth Olson first film and she did a great job acting in it. The camera mostly follow her throughout the movie. The movie was really good but the shaky cam did get on my nerves at times but there was some good creepy imagery throughout
Lake Mungo: B
I'm not really a fan of fake documentary style films but this was pretty effective and near the end had some very creepy moments
The Burbs: B
Extremely funny, I remember watching this as a kid but watching it now was still a good experience for me. I was surprised to see Carrie Fisher in it too
Caveat: A+
This one was a good surprise. Fantastic movie, the set design was super interesting and detailed. The cast was really good. The plot was somewhat unpredictable. I can't wait for Hokum
I love this one so underappreciated. Same guy who did oddity and the upcoming Hokum
Yeah it was a good surprise. I did watch Oddity before a couple of years ago and thought that movie was good. I noticed his visual style is very unique. I can't wait to see how Hokum turns out
