How's this year for gaming so far, for you?

I took the free month of Game Pass and forgot to cancel it. Now I'm playing their fantastic catalogue of games as an addition to purchased stuff...installed Crunchyroll app on Series X and watching anime on 85 inch screen. Acedentally purchased NFS HP R and now Burnout is back in my life. Didn't know Criterion made something like this. Tested out Silksong because of GP and it's such a masterpiece. Doom the Dark Ages, exploring everything in the game for me it's even better than Eternal.
You?

What do you mean Company? Not like these have a huge impact so far or even nowadays, if i had to say one this year it'd be Nintendo and i haven't bought a console from them since Gameboy Color.

This year's one of the best i remember considering it's still March, Mewgenics, Slay the Spire 2, RE Requiem or Crimson Desert are all bangers

Pretty good so far.

Nioh 3 is awesome, Yotei Legends mode is fun and Crimson Desert, while full of flaws, is entertaining me a lot.

Pretty nice, so far I've beaten a bunch of small games like Unreal, Ace Combat 7, Diablo, Titan Quest and Perfect Dark, and am currently playing Ys Seven and Gothic. Also played some Crimson Desert during a long weekend. Game's pretty cool but I'm not in the mood for such a time investment.

So far so good, think I've played way more stuff than last year by this point. Not really excited for any upcoming games tho, but that tease of a DLC for Dragon's Dogma 2 has me wondering.

Shitty so far. Played a few fun Quest 3 games like Tiny Archer, then got pretty hooked on WoW (Bronzebeard) for a few weeks and spent way too much time in a dumb smartphone game. After a few weeks break i'm about to start Yakuza: Infinite Wealth in the next few days and after i'll play FH6. So yeah, things are about to get better.

Playing Divinity OS2 for the second time ( this time playing lone wolf ) , still wanna play BG3 but gonna wait till I get my PC hopefully soon because I hate radial menus for controllers on consoles and want the best quality ( money isn't a problem I just weird anxiety for high cost purchases lol) . haven't played anything else this year

How's CD and Requiem?

Not great. Code Vein II is a mess and I was really looking forward to it. I am waiting for them to somehow fix it, if it is even possible.

Otherwise I replayed FF V and it was amazing. Only really positive note so far.

Just beat SMT3 finally.

I love SMT, but Jesus Christ what an overrated slog that game is.

If you're curious about getting into Shin Megami Tensei folks, just start at IV or V. Just watch the endings on YouTube or something for 3, that's the most story you get in the game anyway.

Gonna be starting V soon, have heard they did away with the ridiculous labyrinthine design of 3, so thank Christ for that.

Same as 2025, wondering how and when I would make a great dent in the backlog of games, from Transformers war of cybertron, Project Gotham 4, James Bond Bloodstone, to Cyberpunk, Robocop, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, Batman roleplaying game from Telltale..and then focusing on what will soon be on the Horizon- Forza Horizon 6, new James bond game...

Really good so far, about removed poll- all 3 options were stupid choices , so stupid that if u added 4th option aka multiplats im sure it would win majority of the voices 🔥 🔥 🔥

Not a great year so far for me. RE Requiem was good but even that was just a tad disappointing.

Still lots to look forward to this year (Pragmata, REPLACED, Saros, Mixtape, 007, GTA VI, Wolverine, Fable, Phantom Blade Zero, etc.. etc..)

Been mixed for me, but more so leaning not so great.

I really enjoyed Requiem, though I tried to make it last as much as possible, still got through it pretty quickly though. Enjoy Marathon as well, though I kind of took a break from it which isn't the game's fault, but more so the genre I feel. Same with Mewgenics, I dig it and wanted to support Edmund, but I think the game itself just wasn't speaking to me anymore. There's nothing else out at the moment that I'm excited about. So, I'm kind of just floating around at the moment until more stuff I'm interested in arrives.

Mewgenics has carried my gaming since it came out. GoTY unless GTA VI actually comes out and surpasses it, or a dark horse comes out of nowhere.

Resident Evil:Requiem was aight. I prefer RE2R and RE4R by far.

Going well. I think three of my top five games of the year for me have already came out and did within a month of each other.

Mewgenics
RE9
Slay The Spire 2

Lately I also have finally tried The Binding of Issac and I have been hooked. Went ahead and bought Repentance during the Spring Sale and no idea why I waited so long to try it.

Mostly playing through my backlog.
So far it has been good but not great. I've played Alan Wake 2 (6.5), Lies of P (8.5), Doom The Dark Ages (7.5) and I've just a few hours into Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 now

Not really great to be honest. RE9 was a solid 8/10 for me. Crimson Desert has been a let down. I haven't gotten around to Nioh 3 yet. Pragamata is coming out, but I don't see the appeal to the game. It looks like Adventures in Babysitting in Space, not really my speed.

But then I'm also looking at the rest of the year, and it's looking pretty dry. GTA VI may or may not keep it's date, Tomb Raider LoA has no release date, no release date on Onimusha either. I dunno, 2026 is kinda shaping up to be a dud for me. It may be one of those years where I spend most of my gaming catching up on my backlog.

Pretty good. The steamdeck and switch2 has me playing mostly backlog games and that's made me more focused. This year finished Doom: The Dark Ages, Bayonetta 3, Devil May Cry 5, Atomic Heart, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Resident Evil 6.

Lots of good games have already released, most of which I haven't had a chance to play yet.

Then of course you have the amazing Crimson Desert which recently released and is taking up most of my time. Seriously might be a top five game of the last decade for me at this rate.

This year has been fantastic.

RE9 and especially MHStories 3 exceeded my expectations, also Pragmata is coming out soon which very hype for.

People don't sleep on MHStories 3…..that game is soooo gooood.

I think the only games I've played that came out this year is Dragon Quest 7 (about 60 hours in, almost at the end), Star Trek Voyager (about 2/3rds of the way through!), and Nioh 3 (which I've kind of dropped because it's frustrating).

I've also spent about 200 hours playing Final Fantasy XI since January
Party Reaction GIF by Real Housewives of Jersey

Pretty good, i am going to do Starfield for the 1st time really, when the dlc and update drop next month, then after that the next dlc should drop for Fallout London hopefully soon, and i will do a new playthrough, so it's not like a wasteland of not playing anything.

Great so far, got a lot of mileage out of most of the new releases I've picked up. 35 hours on FFVII Remake, 40 hours on DQVII Remake, 42 hours (and counting) on Pokopia (GOTY so far easily). Played and completed a few smaller indie games in between there.

Would really like a proper Nintendo Direct to get a better idea of their plans for the back half of the year, but no rush. Have quite a bit coming out between now and July I'm interested in, lots of RPGs.

It's been all indie and backlog for me so far. Mewgenics, Esoteric Ebb, Banquet for Fools, Mars First Logistics, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Terra Nil, Botany Manor. Pretty happy with it.

Good so far, I have played or am playing these games.

Trails in the Sky the 1st Chapter
Tales of Berseria Remastered
Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remastered
Legend of Heroes Trails Beyond the Horizon
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined

possibly more, not sure. I also bought these

Crimson Desert
Borderlands 4 DLC

and there are so many more coming, I just don't see how I will get to them, especially since I mostly like longer games. And I try to schedule a few games from years past that I did not get around to, and sometimes when I do a DLC, I replay the entire game (say Grim Dawn Fangs of Asterkarn when it releases).
