It's like folks don't want to admit that something is going on with Sony. They sold their television business, closed several studios, canceled 12 games, overpaid for Bungie, Concord flopped badly, Marathon is underperformed, and not they have released an high caliber (for their standards) in years. Marvel gets 35% off the top for any licensed game even though Sony pays for development. But all you hear is that Xbox is dead and that number of PS5 that Sony sold. Didn't they also say that they secured enough memory not to be impacted by the shortage now the price increase. Something is going on with Sony and the media is just ignoring it. They are not moving like they won this generation.

Pretty sure all of this stuff has been talked about, but people fixate more on Microsoft's failures because they're doing worse relative to the others in gaming.
I did wonder how long Sony's cache of memory would last, which is why if you wanted a Playstation should've got it during the last holiday.
The only dumb people were the ones thinking the price increases would stay at RAM or SSDs.

Most people here are fully aware of Sony latest fumbles. Huge fumbles. But they're still making money, so it's easy to forget.
It also helps that Xbox has become a piece of garbage by forgetting their fanbase and making games for a mythical modern audience that doesn't buy games. So Sony looks amazing by comparison.
But I think the clock is ticking. Eventually, Sony's PS losses will come home to roost.

Not releasing high caliber games for years? Helldivers 2 was one of their biggest hits in history. Gran Turismo 7 has become their most successful GT game ever. Astrobot made by 30/60 people in Japan has sold millions. Ghost of Yotei is outselling Tsushima launch aligned (their most recent AAA title). MLB is a hit every year, Stellar Blade basically turned a small studio into a big AAA studio that's now hard at work on that game's sequel.
Wolverine is doing numbers on social media and youtube (probably going to pay for itself on first month), Saros and Kena sequel look impressive, Death Stranding 2 just had a better PC release than its predecessor.

Were going for the undisputed title, now Sony are about to be finished, we have Nintendo on there knees with them slowing Snitch 2 production alot of there customers are jumping over to the MICROSOFT X ASUS ROG ALLY XBOX X. Valve are next, then the long game is joint operations with my second favourite company NVIDIA to push AI as hard as possible and place an AI being in charge of the USA and UK, it will be called Keir Stalin.
