Had a bit of fun with Xenoverse 1, never played 2. Might be a Day 1 purchase.
Wasn't a big fan of Kakarot being a SP experience. Never played Sparking Zero either.
Am I missing anything else?
This game takes place in the year 1000. Goku was born Year 734 and disappears at the end of GT in year 790. This would be 210 years after that moment. It's why people in this trailer look almost like people you would know as they're probably descendents.Am I missing anything else?
Yikes. I don't know the lore like that, but loved watching DBZ and DB:GT growing up.This game takes place in the year 1000. Goku was born Year 734 and disappears at the end of GT in year 790. I'm unsure if that person near the beginning was indeed Piccolo or maybe it would be older Dende, but expect most of the Z and Super fighters to be dead of old age (or missing) at this point besides the androids.
Maybe Trunks might still appear because he is a man out of time.
On the contrary, I find the idea of the Dragonball creatives moving beyond the Goku saga to be pretty exciting.Yikes. I don't know the lore like that, but loved watching DBZ and DB:GT growing up.
I find the more futuristic setting super cool, and if it means more original content instead of replaying the same arcs over and over, I'm all for it. Bring new original content. On the contrary, I find the idea of the Dragonball creatives moving beyond the Goku saga to be pretty exciting.
There's a lot they could expand on and a lot of potential here, and since this is a Xenoverse game I know that they will come up with a fun story.
Yea the best DB game to date. But Xenoverse is cool too. I hope they revamp the combat.
Tbf Sparking zero is just tenkaichi 4 (or Raging Blast 3, pick your poison) so they were never about expanding the story but rather playing with your favorite characters like a toybox arenaHopefully the worlds become a lot more detailed. Sparking Zero was a let down in this area. (And story mode sucked)
Yes, a create a character fighting game with a focus on pve story scenarios instead of pvp so it has an rpg system where you level up stats; you unlock moves of known dragon ball characters to use for your own character.I don't know anything about Xenoverse series, is it a fighting game or what?

Number 2 is better than 1 in pretty much every way. It's actually to the point of making #1 completely irrelevant, there's no reason to even play it nowadays, even the campaign from #1 was put into and is playable in #2. You (or others) should try 2 if at all interested.Had a bit of fun with Xenoverse 1, never played 2.
1 has it's own things I liked: The story and the simplicity of it's gameplay. It's worth trying out to experience the story at the very least.Number 2 is better than 1 in pretty much every way. I think they're worth checking out for their original stories. Both games (and FigherZ to an extent) were a breath of fresh air compared to the games that feel like the usual moment to moment retread of Z's story.I own Xenoverse 2, but I've never played them.
They aren't MMOs but each one has an online lobby where people can meet and group up. You can bring people with you on side missions but you can play the story of each completely alone though.never touched a xenoverse.
is this like those korean mmos with a small hub?
I mean... correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the legend patrol DLC has the FULL XV1 story for XV2. You're not missing anything from XV1 as I recall, so there's not much else that game has to offer over XV2.1 has it's own things I liked: The story and the simplicity of it's gameplay. X2 does not have X1's full story, plus Xenoverse 1 is almost always on a deep sale.
From what I've read that DLC has most of XV1's content but it's missing some small parts.I mean... correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the legend patrol DLC has the FULL XV1 story for XV2. if you like to replay the same old DBZ story over and over again, Sparking is the series for you, Xenoverse is more a "what if" kind of game. The first Xenoverse was the first game I requested a refund for on Steam. It was a terribly boring and very generic game.
I prefer the Sparking series.
