GTA 6 pre-orders start Monday (Up: Italian retailer lists at €69.90)

Late Friday announcements are usually only bad news for companies trying to avoid bad press. Not that I expect a delay, but nothing will happen before Monday.

I worked at GameStop when GTAIV came out and they ran out of copies at their midnight launch. The District Manager had to bring some to the store. They had a security guard called in especially for GTAIV's launch.

I'll give them money closer to launch. All that money gets charged right away on PSN.

Rumor only for now, but several outlets are reporting that GTA VI pre-orders could start Monday because of a leaked Best Buy affiliate email. Nothing official from Rockstar yet, obviously.
That said, if pre-orders really are that close, I honestly think Trailer 3 can't be far away either. Rockstar usually wouldn't open pre-orders without showing more of the actual game first, plus pricing/editions, etc.
My guess is late May to June is the most realistic window, especially with the Take-Two earnings call coming and the fact they already said the big GTA VI marketing push would start in summer 2026.
Right now it also feels like classic Rockstar silence before a major reveal. Very little communication, then suddenly the internet explodes overnight.
And when Trailer 3 finally drops, I think it'll be much more gameplay focused than the previous ones. Probably NPC systems, police chases, interiors, world interactions, Lucia/Jason gameplay, stuff like that. Basically less "mood trailer" and more "this is the actual game.

As much as I wanna see something happen, i think its too early for pre orders/trailer 3
And there's no way rockstar is showing anything on SGF

The Best Buy email is legitimate so I don't see how pre-orders wouldn't go live Monday.

If affiliates got the email, then they have a 3 day window to generate their 5% sales to anyone that clicks on their link. It doesn't make any kind of sense for there to be some sort of limited window of time for only a few people to pre-order this. It has to be full blown out.

My sense is that Monday is just going to be a logo or something to symbolize pre-orders going live. The only other time they did something on a Monday was when they did the RDR 2 teaser with the R logo in red back in 2016. That was done on a Monday.

They could break tradition and drop the trailer to signal pre-orders like I was told. If it isn't Monday, then Tuesday. This 3 day window Best Buy ends the day the earnings call is. Just enough information to show shareholders what the numbers are in terms of sales data.

As someone who doesn't even own a PS5 or Xbox Series One X I can't say that I am excited at all. Knowing Rockstar, a PC port is probably like 12 months away at the least.

Don't think it's happening today tbh. All major retailers around Europe have been open for hours and still not a peep about this, unless they plan to open digital preorders today and then physical at a later date to avoid leaks at all costs I don't really think they could be this secretive if physical preorders were also to open today.

Don't get your hopes up people.

If they going to really open pre orders they will surely reveal something more about the game right ? Like graphics modes ?
