Football: A Game Of Two Halves & A Round Ball, It's A Funny Old Game

I agree, if Arsenal win nothing, he should go.

He's spent shitloads and won an FA cup in his first season by playing the worst football in the division.

It's happening again, Arsenal fans must literally be feeling deja vu now. If they dont win any trophies this season, surely thats it for Arteta? He cant have a squad that good and win nothing again. His tactics are awful, hes ultra negative and is ruining the likes of Saka a bit like how Pep ruined Grealish.

Arsenal coming 2nd, 4 times in a row is very Spursy. :messenger_tears_of_joy: speaking of which .... 👀 I bet Lincoln City can't wait to play there.
I wanted wet spam to win sooooo much last night to make the gap wider but it wasn't to be.

Got a sneaky feeling spuds will get away with it though. They've got the dog heads who are already relegated, Leeds and Everton next 3 (both of those at home) Can see 7 points from those.

Whereas hammers have to play Arsenal (lol) Brentford and the toon - don't see any points from those.

Do Utd qualify for the CL if Chelsea lose tonight?
I might be off with my maths here but I don't think so. Chelsea are 10 points behind United with 5 games to go. So if they lose today they still have 4 games to go and so could gain 12 points from those. If that were to happen and United lost all of their games then they could still qualify. So it's not guaranteed yet but it's getting close.

Your man walks away with a 6 year payout too. Not bad for 3 months work.

Doubt they'll pay him 6 years upfront but he could basically sit on his arse getting paid every month for at least 70 months before having to sign on😂😂

Bit ironic seeing Madrid defending for once all this year with everything we've got for a change, exactly just like all the smaller do that we are struggling against.
Anyways sucks to be out with such a very very stupid red card... Otherwise top class game. Congrats to Bayern. Hope they massacre each other with PSG though.
Massacre it is! This tie might end up even better than Barcelona Inter the other year.

Great fucking match
This will be up there with some of the greatest UCL games ever
Lol even lost the bet because they scored more goals than the over 7,5 corners :messenger_grinning_sweat:

My Arsenal supporting friend believes that because they beat Bayern at the start of the season then they have a strong chance of beating them again or PSG when (yes when, not if) they progress past Atletico. Also commenting on how PSG were further down the initial UCL table.

When their season implodes, the popcorn will be ready.

Good to secure a Champions League spot by doing the double over Liverpool. Earlier on in the season I really wouldn't have thought Champions League qualification was possible. Hopefully they can keep up the momentum and finish off the season in 3rd.

I think the Arse are going to do it now.
League yes, UCL maybe but I'm not so sure, this tonight wasn't all that impressive, this is not a team to annihilate others unlike any of the other 2 team still out there
Anyway if it's PSG I just hope they do, no need for any other team to do the UCL double as far as I'm concerned

Playoffs for my team tonight. Playing away at Bolton. Can't see us getting anything unfortunately. Got tickets for the second leg so hope we're still in it by then.

Absolutely abysmal end to the Arsenal game.

All season Arsenal have turned set pieces, especially corners, into scrums. There's countless evidence littered around Twitter from Ben White, Rice & others blocking, pulling, nudging, bumping etc the keeper. For them to get this decision, which lets not forget took 4 minutes to decide a "clear & obvious foul" ...

I thought VAR wasn't there to re-referee a game ...

Shocking. To think the Arse might clinch the title getting a VAR decision for them when its literally how they've spent all season doing their corners...

Lot of drama and tension going on with Real Madrid. What could be a good way to get things calm and sensible?

What could go wrong!?

If Celtic had lost tonight then, unless Celtic could beat them by 3 goals this weekend, Hearts would have been the first team outisde of the Old Firm to win the Scottish League. It was looking like that could happen but then Celtic got awarded a penalty via VAR and scored the winning goal in the 98th minute. So now whoever wins this Saturday wins the league.

Big game in the Scottish PL today. Whoever wins between Hearts & Celtic, wins the league. A draw sees Hearts win. It'll be the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's Aberdeen that a team outside of the Old Firm have won the Scottish PL. That was back in the 84/85 season!

Celtic 2-1 Hearts

8 minutes of stoppage time for Hearts to find something. Absolute scenes when Celtics initial disallowed goal was given on 87 mins.

LOLZ - Six months work for four years worth of payout when they sack him in December (if he lasts till then)

Basket case of a club.

Arsenal just about beat an already relegated Burnley. If they don't pull up their socks they're going to bottle it away to Palace.

However, they might be okay. First, Palace have nothing to play for. They're only chance of getting into Europe next season is by winning the conference league. They're likely going to go easy and/or rest key players.

Man City have Bournemouth next, and although City must win, Bournemouth are no push overs.

In fact, Bournemouth have some of the best current form out of any team in the top five leagues in Europe.

To add to this, Bournemouth need at least a point if they want European football next season. Also, this is Iraola's last home game in charge for Bournemouth. The players will want to make sure he goes out with a bang.

Bournemouth will play this game like it's a cup final. You would be foolish to write them off.
