Would have made more sense for them to skip this episode actually.

Anyway, I'm sold on manager Creed. They can stop the search (unless will arnett wins)

Well the show is inevitably going to get canceled in a season so it makes sense that Arnett would become the new manager.

This was a really funny episode, though I still missed Michael.

I laughed so hard when Kevin ran out the bathroom "what the fuck?!".

And the massage lol.

I thought it was a good episode.

ANY episode has the potential to be a good episode as long as Will Ferrell isn't in it.

Still though, the show seems like its missing some energy without Steve Carell.

I laughed out loud more this episode than any other this season. Great job! It seems like the writers are remembering how funny and unique these characters used to be. Dwight was great as acting manager. I would actually be ok with him taking over the job permanently. He has an odd personality that would help to maintain the cringe-worthy aspects of the show.

it was pretty good.. better than last weeks

i kept thinking "didnt they do this before" though

dwight trying to do michael scott with the giddy cowboy and walking around with the gun was pretty funny

and his office with the samurai outfit and piranha lol

Andy: I Think I should go to the hospitable.
Erin: I'll go with you.
Gabe: NO!
Me: o_0

Gabe's getting real clingy over Erin. That part got my attention for some reason.

But I look forward to see how Creed would run the office. Does anyone still expect that anyone of the guest stars next episode would actually be manager and a full-time regular? I'm not feeling it.

Yeah, I felt a little disappointed they didn't carry Dwight as manager for a few episodes.
I've been rewatching season3/4/5 office lately so I was really in the mood for this tonight. Dwights been pining to be manager for years and years, they should have drawn this out to at least 3 episodes.

Thought this was easily one of the best episodes this season. Seems like they really went back to the characters. Creed as the boss at the end was awesome. This episode gave me hope for next season.

Dwight telling Kelly to tell him to stop when he got to the infected area was hilarious.

I thought the repeat episode was pretty funny.

The bit in the car where they are saying "Pam, Pam, Pam.." and the woman approaches and says "My name is Pam" was great.

Because he works for the same incompetent company that kept Michael Scott in charge for 9 years?

Scranton branches numbers were always high with Michael Scott. give me an idiot any day if he makes me money!

One of my favorite episodes ever for some reason... Dwight doing that for Pam out of kindness really touched me.

This was a great episode, especially this very quick moment...

This episode was great and reinforces the fact that The Office still has life without Michael. Aside from the heavyweight characters (Jim, Pam, Dwight), I'm loving Ed Helms evolution of Andy. Hated him when he started, became tolerable and is pretty awesome now.

Also, Jordan is hilarious just by being around.

He was also a walking lawsuit waiting to happen. The series was never grounded in reality in that regard. See also: Todd Packer

I may be late as hell to this (I've never posted in this thread), but did anyone realize in "Goodbye Michael" that Will Ferrell was humming/whistling the Marble Zone tune from Sonic the Hedgehog?

what? I've been playing that level recently and I didn't pick up on that.. will have to rewatch that one asap.

Damn. I still think Jim would be a better replacement, but after seeing how well the office ran without a manager, it's a shame they didn't propose that to her. Even if Jim became manager for the title but kept things running the way they were without one.

Is it a little much to have an Interim Manager nameplate, you ask? Stupid question, idiot. It's entirely essential.

This electric fireplace is absolutely charming, but I placed it in my office more as a metaphor. It burns as brightly as my management skills.

This desk is a replica of Uday Hussein's that I saw in Newsweek. It screams of unadulterated power. And it even has cup holders!

Dwight's office was phenomenal.

I like how they change the last scene of the opening credits each week too. I hope next week Creed is turning something on his desk lol.

What exactly is the point of the Jordan character? Is she staying on next season or are we going to see her just disappear (like the IT guy?)

She was just hired by DeAngelo to prove he's not sexist, she's not really gonna last.

I thought I recognized a song from Sonic the Hedgehog in one of the scenes. I just rewatched the scene, and yep, it sounds like the beginning of the Marble Zone theme.

Whoa really?

I wonder if that parts on YouTube.

All in all, very decent episode.

Anyone notice that subtle jab at Michael/Carell? When Jo walks in and Jim comments on how good of a job Dwight was doing, Jo responds: "*sigh* yea those were some big shoes to fill... I was really sorry to hear about D'Angelo."

lol fuuuuuucked up. Also didnt notice in the beginning when Oscar closed his mouth at "under god" during the pledge of allegiance. I love little moments like that.

Holy shit! The Office has found its voice again. Michael leaving was the kick in the nuts the show needed.
It is true! I've been playing old office in the background as I do stuff and have been playing like 8 episodes a day to break up the monotony. And I've really started to realize how good it is that micheal is gone. He's likable, but also hes super annoying! Shit man I'm more enthused about this show than I have been since the marriage arc.

I went back to Hulu and it's definitely what he's humming. It's during the scene he was grilling a steak on the coffee machine.
