Yes, his youngest brother Renly. There is a middle brother named Stannis who hasn't been involved or even really talked about much in the show (Renly mentioned him in that scene, that might have been the only time?).
Cool. And the dude who cut off his horses head (due to the aforementioned problems with his horse's sexual desires) was the "Mountain?" And the dude who stepped in to help the hairless shaving knight was his brother the "Hound"?

Yes, the Cleganes, who are a subservient house of Lannister.

Correct on both counts.

Are they going to do A Clash of Kings when this is over?
And are they going to call it that if so?

The episode was incredible btw... I'm distraught that I left it a day or two to watch it!

What's this about 6 & 7 being on HBO Go? As I watch via torrents and Sky Atlantic in the UK, does this make it likely they will leak for me to watch?

Yes, and the dude he helped was named Loras Tyrell "The Knight of Flowers". Aside from his Renly relationship, he's pretty unattached to any of the characters introduced thusfar.

Already confirmed for a season 2, unknown if it will use a subtitle but my guess is that it'll just be called "Game of Thrones" again.

Gregor "The Mountain Who Rides" Clegane - Sworn bannerman of Tywin Lannister
Sandor "The Hound" Clegane - Personal bodyguard of Joffrey Baratheon.

Really enjoyed the scene between the king and queen, so brutally honest. Am i going too far to say that Robert is the best realised character in the series so far? Not that the others are one dimensional, but with robert you know he used to be different and the actor shows all the he has been and is so effortlessly, and it's easy to understand why too. Other characters will probably take another season to go through that kind or arc.

I can't tell, have you read the books?

i'd agree, he's probably the most well put together

not that the characterisation is subtle or anything, but he's not a subtle character

the arc though as you say is kind of built in so far which isnt the same for all the characters

ib4 he dies :(

is it weird that i watch the show just assuming everyone i like will die

you fuckers with your books that youve read being all like NO ONE IS SAFE smh

so paranoid

I'll say this much, Series Robert is an improvement over Book Robert. Definitely the best performance in the entire show.

or not paranoid enough?

Really, that's what makes the story so special. It is unpredictable like a sporting event so if you have a horse in the game you have to care. Also we only know out to book 4. GRRM knows who else is going to die that we do not. So, we're not in completely different boats.

Amazon has a pretty sweet deal going on today. Buy all four books for the price of 20 bucks

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0345529057/?tag=neogaf0e-20

The low reviews for the set are for the Kindle version (that has apparently been fixed). The books are fine though, and good quality paperback - not the mass market - small print - paperback crap
Thank you so much for the heads up. Bought.

Won't touch them yet, though. I don't want to spoil the TV series.

Not that I know of. I've saved a bunch from Tumblr and other forums. If you want anything in particular, let me know what you're looking for.

You got a gif of Sandor ducking into a bow as Gregor swings overhead? So bad ass.

I have lots of great books to read, but only this great TV series to watch.

That's logical thinking at its prime.
Yeah, that's kind of how I'm feeling. Bought the 4 book set, but think I might hold off on starting. Interested to know if the guys is able to finish the series off as expected, and enjoy the show immensely.

Maybe I'll start reading the first book at the end of this season. Really unsure which route to go.

I just realized that they resurrected River Phoenix so that he could take on the role of Sir Loras! HBO is pulling out all the stops for this one.

Perhaps read the one book that corresponds with the season after it is done. That way it can flesh out what you have seen.

Littlefinger always has the funniest faces. Also that was pretty ballsy of the Hound to duck like that in the middle of the fight.

I still can't believe its the same guy that played Fred Flintstone in the direct-to-video sequel.

He stepped his game up.

Damn he was always a good actor. Did you watch "Still Standing"?

He was rather funny in that. I also remember his redheaded daughter having big tits in that show.

Edit: I remembered right

Really enjoying the series so far, but it's pretty amusing that they use the sex scenes more or less to explain the lore and flesh out a character's backstory. Pretty much every time you see anyone getting some action, you know it's exposition time. I guess you have to be pretty clever, script-wise, when you're compressing lengthy books into a visual medium.

By the way, these spear-wielding red-armoured fellows, they're affiliated with the king, correct?

The red armored guys are Lannister guards. So they're affiliated the Queen and Jaime's family.

White cloaked guys in the armor that Jaime wears sometimes are members of the Kingsguard aka the Secret Service for the Iron Throne.

Sexposition - n.
Explaining complicated plot background while fucking.

Ah, I just re-watched ep. 2 and they stood closest to Robert when they tried to resolve the wolf-on-prince-thing, but Cersei is also there so it makes sense.

Thanks for clearing it up!

Was the opening cinematic changed last episode to include the Eyrie?
I'm glad someone mentioned this. I knew something felt different about the opening, but the people I was watching it with claimed it was the same as always.

I thought they changed it to per episode.
