It is not as blindingly bright as the original super amoled on the same brightness settings.. but it still quite bright if you cut off the auto-brightness feature.
Dim is not a word I would use to describe it..

The screen is fantastic. The problem is that the auto dimming is too aggressive, but you can turn that off. It is as bright or brighter than the Focus screen. There is a weird bug or hardware flaw where the screen flickers, but it's pretty rare.

SIM cards are for GSM networks (T-Mobile, AT&T).
Verizon has a CDMA network.
It won't work.

Not unless you add a new line. If you want to do contract extension it show cost to be regular upgrade price.
Interestingly if you put Titan in the checkout, you can do contract extension for $79.99.
are u not reconnecting the internet after it prompts that there's an update?

What phone and which carrier? I thought MS pushed out all the update even the buggy DVP and Focus 1.4.
Just played around with the Focus S and a Titan at an AT&T store near me. Focus S has a gorgeous screen but that build quality has me worried, especially that little back piece. The piece wasnt on correctly on the display unit so I snapped it back easily, but it was already warped. Titan was massive. Screen was great, not as nice as awesome as the Focus S, but great. Pixel density wasn't an issue from what I messed around with. Browsed a little bit and messed around with the maps. Build quality was great. Felt well put together. Definitely gonna pull the trigger on the Amazon deal. Just have to sync up the change with my Verizon account and have my number moved over.
I'm posting a lot in here on this page but it's because I've been thinking pretty heavily about getting the HTC Trophy. I recommended it to my girlfriend for ease of use but I think that little guy is pretty slick. I worry about the features, though. I'm currently in a Verizon contract until October 2012 but the Verizon.com site is now letting me upgrade my phone early (very early, it would seem.)
The HTC Trophy is $29.99 but I'm really thinking I might want to wait. But should I? As opposed to my girlfriend I'm very much about the latest and greatest tech. I am willing to spend $200 on a new phone with a new two-year deal. I've decided my next phone will be a Windows Phone.

I don't blame you at all for wanting to get a Windows Phone. I've had mine for about a month, and it was the first time I had used a Windows Phone, and I've loved it. However, in your situation, I would definitely recommend waiting for a second generation WP7 phone, which I would say will be here before too long. Verizon just needs to get their heads in the game and get some more windows phones.

Just looked it up January 10-13 is when the conference is. I wonder how long after these phones get announced it will be before they come to market, though.
I know, it's really bothering me that my phone provider doesn't have a newer phone for someone like me. I can't be the only one in my situation. Just make it easy for me, Verizon. I want to buy, so sell.
So, any app that is currently in the multi-tasking (by holding back) will automatically resume, but selecting the app through it's tile won't? I've noticed this when using Kik Messenger and basically anything else.
It's probably a dumb question, but I really didn't get to toy around with the multi-tasking when I had the Mango beta on my Focus as many apps weren't supported.
And since the interface is so slick, I really don't ever think to use the multi-tasking as everything opens pretty quick as it is.

Yeah, the app restarts if you launch it through the tile again. Pretty stupid, but kinda understandable (tap the tile, app starts fresh, consistent experience). I still don't like it.

Sprint's support of WP7 has been pretty abysmal.

No new phones until LTE roll out, so I might jump on an Arrive when the price is low enough.

There might be a Verizon version of that phone. Verizon had some people at the Nokia World event in London.
There have been a number of rumors suggesting Verizon will be getting a new phone soon. I'd hold off on the Trophy unless you need a phone right now.

it's like a mini tablet, colors were actually better to me and I liked the looked of the themes as they were not over saturated like my Focus.
the weight and build quality felt sweet. Physically compared to my focus with the case it was not much bigger at all. I will probably add a titan case when they are available which will add size but I can live with it in exchange for the beautiful screen

According to the original press release for Saturday's online sale, all Windows 7 phones are a penny on Saturday.
I think nokia is trying to be like apple and announce their phones a month or so before release. So it shouldn't be too long after.

I doubt we will see an updated zune pc software anytime soon.... they seem to be part of the xbox team now and they did just release a new version for the xbox.
I think any software development happening is for windows 8 at this point.... I think its very likely we never see another standalone zune software version. Its being integrated into the xbox app in windows 8. Hopefully as part of this they will put out xbox apps for android and ios with the streaming support to match all of this.
(notice how the app matches the xbox beta dashboard with the video and music sections and that is a good thing imo)
I can't see Xbox apps on android or iOS, Zune streaming player maybe, but Xbox is really Microsofts defining feature, android is to uncontrolled hardware wise for a consistent experience to be offered and iOS wouldn't allow it as it'd be recreating an experience offered by the os ie game center also it'd be subject to pay Apple for any sales made in app, it's just not happening.

My local store yet to have Titan to play with. I even offered my wife to go to Costco for her so I can look at the Titan but they didn't get any in either.
As for At&t ads, the original leak said "All Windows phone" for $0.01, so who know. Anyway, Amazon Wireless also have Titan for 1 penny if you are starting a new contract. If you upgrade your existing line it's 79.99.
It seems the Titan is the Windows Phone to get this year. You guys that already have the phone need to give more impression after few days of usage and see if you still like it.
yea I'll probably do that if the penny deal fails. spoke with the ATT rep yesterday who knew nothing about it and said if true it is online only

Hahaha, so weird that the Titan is only $80 for an upgrade to an existing family plan, but the Focus S is $200. That makes my decision a lot easier, even if it is backordered.
EDIT: Oh shit. I can't keep my grandfathered unlimited data plan if I upgrade to a new phone? I was able to keep it when I went from my iPhone to my Focus.

Yeah, on the "Services" page after you pick your phone, it looks like you HAVE to pick an option from the existing plans, unless I'm missing something.
The universe really doesn't want me to get a new phone.

You only get to keep your unlimited if you go to At&t store (their stores not authorized retailers like Amazon or Costco). I found this out last year when I upgrade my iPhone to my focus (which as unlimited plan on it). I went to the store and they told me that you could only keep unlimited if you upgrade with them. I also heard that they are trying very hard to do away with unlimited plan so ...
In the US, USB charger is standard (I think it was mandate).
I think it is supposed too. I know Zune HD's have bio's for artists.

I dislike that most of the artists I listen to do not have those fancy picture that is displayed in the background and on the livet-tile.
Is there a way to look up the database and if needed add pictures?
