Christ, when our PK melts down, it melts down hard. In every game where it's given up a goal, it's given up two.

Come on, Pens.

And this is the first time all season that Fleury has given up more than three in a game.

Well, that will make things interesting in the third. If the Pens can score in the first half of the third, we could be in for a tremendous finish.

Let's hope the Third Period Penguins of 2011 show up this game. They've gotten better the longer each game has gone on this season.

I'm getting tired of having to hope for a comeback. We usually find a way to do it somehow but it gets old after awhile. Two goals in the third is certainly doable, we just have to stop the bleeding.

Yeah. Let's face it, though; the Rangers are a good team with an elite goaltender backstopping them. The Pens are going to have a hard time coming back in this one, but nothing is impossible. They've looked good and even great at points. If the D and MAF can stop the bleeding, like you said, then I like the Pens' chances.

It's so weird having this much faith and belief in the Pens this season. Like I said early on, there's a special feeling surrounding this team.

Wow, had no idea about that "high stick puck bouncing off someone = no goal" rule.

I thought because it hit Sauer it would have counted....anyway, should be an interesting 3rd period.

i think the play is called dead once it becomes a high stick. i think - dont hold me to that

Incorrect. If one team hits the puck with a high stick and the opposition touches it next, the play is allowed to continue. If one team hits the puck with a high stick and their OWN team touches the puck next, the play is called dead. That's why I thought the goal would count, but I guess there's a different rule in place when it comes to the puck going into the net.

Rags have done a really good job of containing Crosby. Aside from his assist, I haven't noticed him being too much of a factor. I wonder if that will continue into the third.

It feels good to actually be winning games.

Happy to see you guys win tonight, I was hoping STL would.

Ugh, another Regier bust. Fucking fire him already, Terry.

Regier needs to go too. Can't believe Terry is even paying this guy money. Personnel problems afoot, player signing busts, not a contender this year I'm afraid...

I mean Ville Leino? Was he ever that good to constitute such a contract? One short playoff run success and Regier thinks its a fucking grand idea to sign him long term? Wish I could smack Regier around a bit.

So, what do you think of Hunter wanting to focus on making the Caps a cycling team, and staying away from run-and-gun hockey?

Sounds like a case of trying to twist a team into a certain system instead of choosing a system that fits the team, but that's just me.

I'm all for it. First thing that will take awhile to learn again is to actually play like a team. They will have direction and an actual system for a change.

I'm expecting to see this in 10-15 games.

EDIT: Spire, what Hunter means is there will be an emphasis on team defence and forechecking. He's preached offense as a coach so what he essentially was saying by the run and gun comment is: "I ain't Bruce".

Picard and Bortuzzo are really hurting us, the Rangers are getting a lot of good chances with them on the ice.

Remember they signed him as a fucking center and after 2 weeks he was crying to go back to wing. Fuck this shit. We need a #1 center and we still don't have one.

I'm seriously up for trading Miller for one. I'm tired of his crybaby antics as well.

Ruff is overrated as well.
