NHL Movember Thread of George Parros and his mustache tickles when he goes down on gi

Off regular NHL topic, but why when you have injuries turned on for the NHL 12 for be a GM mode is there a key injury literally ever single game I play, it's like the players step out onto the ice and slip and break their neck, this is getting ridiculous and I'm starting to get really angry at this stupid game, I can't go three games (sim or playing) without some player getting injured for 3 weeks or so, I liked NHL 11 better. :/

When you have a team full of 80 year olds, injuries are bound to happen.

Just like what the Black Hawks penalty kill is to other teams. :D

It was never like what I'm experiencing in NHL 08 up to 11. I thought it might have been a slider but it is just an on or off switch for injuries which is puzzling, maybe they will die down as the season goes on here.
Ummm, there's a slider as well. It's set at like mid range by default. I had that same issue in my Season Mode where all my goalies were getting hurt even though I had injuries set to OFF. Turns out it was a bug which EA fixed in the first patch. But I turned injuries ON, then put the slider all the way down then turned them back OFF just in case.

Thanks I found it, hopefully this will be much better.

Christ Aaron Ward is a fucking tool. Spends a few months with Anaheim and thinks that he can use that as leverage to try and be a 'shock jock' version of an analyst. Carlyle is fine, the players are behind him, you're just a douche who was getting tired of playing hockey.

Aaron Ward, who had perhaps a half-cup of coffee with the Ducks at the end of his career, pulled no punches and even threw a few elbows at Ducks coach Randy Carlyle in this TSN segment. Defenseman Ward said Carlyle “sucked the life” out of the game for him and said it’s time for Carlyle to go, perhaps not knowing that the coach is contracted through 2014.

Seriously, find me ONE OTHER ex-Duck (that wasn't dog house fodder) who has something bad to say about Carlyle.

One last note about about the game tonight, the Rangers did a good job of shutting Crosby down. While he was able to slip some good passes through and get two primary assists, he only had 1 shot on goal. They were crowding him constantly.

That Schneider fellow sure is something. Lou's got a tough task in front of him when he eventually gets off the bench.

Don't be silly, it's World AIDS day tomorrow which, from my understanding, means the whole world gets AIDS tomorrow.

Aaron Ward was a part of the Canes Stanley Cup winning team. Veteran D that's rather forgettable. Got traded to the Ducks at the last 2 months of his career and went on to be an even more forgettable TSN analyst who is now relying on "shock jock" tactics to be noticed.

And his 2nd assist was of the sort that only Crosby gets credited for. Losing to the puck to a Rangers player who then goes on to lose it to another Penguin's player who scores should not be an assist.

Crosby actually dropped it back for him but it went straight into Girardi who fanned on it and Dupuis picks it out of his skates. If you watch it Girardi never actually touches the puck with his stick, it hits his skate before Dupuis picks it up so technically he never has possession.

late, but good news about Muller. He'll learn the ropes of being a HC so that when he takes over for JM he'll be good and ready.

I was never a bully or a jock, but every time I see Pierre, I feel like I'm back in high school and I just want to punch him in the stomach and take his lunch money.

So I want to go skating today at lunch, and the only decent rink in Raleigh is the one the Canes practice at. Kirk Muller better not overrun his allotted practice time and cut into my free skate, dammit.

To be fair to Aaron Ward, it's rare to see a high profile player become an analyst after retirement. Hrudey, Healy, Johnson, Peca and Mclellan (sp?) were never extremely popular or even top-tier players. Now having said that, Ward certainly comes across as a colossal buffoon. Kind of like Cris Carter of ESPN.

Maguire needs a new pair of glasses.

I'm not taking stock in the Panthers leading the division so early, but it's giving me some hope. If they're still leading in February, still in the hunt in March.... iwanttobelieve.jpg

I'd say Michael Peca should be up there for defensive forwards, hell he won the Selke twice, had a good career as a captain (Buffalo and NYI) and won gold in Salt Lake.

Everybody else on the other hand, ehhhhhhhhhhh.

Not sure if this is old.

Paul Maurice wrote this on the white board for Muller in the dressing room:

"Kirk, good luck. Great bunch of guys. The staff is A-1."

If Habs miss the playoffs JM is out this year, no way Muller then takes over.
Yep. That's what sad about Boucher and Muller finding jobs somewhere else. When we fire JM (and we will), we'll be stuck with another frenchie without experience that we'll train so he makes it to the finals with another team.

What are your terms?

Winner is determined by whichever player (Seguin for me, Kessel for the eventual loser) scores the most points over the next two games. If players tie in total points there will be no bet.

Winner chooses a holiday NHL avatar for the loser.

Avatar must be worn by loser from Sunday December 3 until December 25 2011.

Don't forget he won back to back Stanley Cups with the Wings in 97 and 98, crazy!

Ok I'm in.

Those terms suck. The avatar should be worn until January 2nd. That way the loser can go to post hungover on New Years Day and rethink their life.
