Yeah, Lydman would be nice to have back, but I'm pretty sure the Ducks were pretty pleased with him last year. Unless they're having a firesale, I'd be surprised (then again, I never would have guessed they'd think about moving Ryan).

I really like our young guys we've seen so far (Adam, Kassian, Brennan, McNabb), but I wouldn't take any of them off the table when Bobby Ryan could be had.
 
This Ryan stuff is getting interesting. Murray is talking to the Rangers and the Sabres, and the Leafs have also been scouting the Ducks over the last couple of weeks. I wonder how many more teams are involved..

I have a feeling that whichever team ends up with him will have to overpay.

Looks like those December predictions were spot on. Excellent.

We'll see if he can contribute much to start off. I've heard nothing about his recovery but there's no guarantee he can crack this lineup right now. He might be a healthy scratch occasionally as he gets his legs.

I'm expecting 2 goals and 2 assists tomorrow night, though. Nothing less.

I think it's the ducks way of making a change, but seems like a big mistake IMO if they do go through with it.....and itll take more then that to get him :lol
 
The Ducks management are looking to shake shit up. To remind players to take accountability and to play like their lives depend on it. Can't fire a coach, so what else do you do? They've always said players will be moved before a coach gets fired.

I still can't believe Steve Mason took the Calder the year that Bobby Ryan got nominated...

And yeah, consistent 30 goal scorers are worth more than a pick, Kadri and Grabovski.

Grabovski got 29 last year and was (arguably) the Leafs' best player, and Kadri is tearing it up in the AHL. He might do well without all the media hounding him every time he gets called up.

Alright, we didn't want to have to do it, but you guys can have two studs on D, Komisarek and Finger.

Exactly...remember, Pegula said a 3 year time table. You trade for a guy who is ready now with a top prospect.

Nah man don't worry. With every fleece job Double B does he makes it harder on himself for future trades. The Ducks are wary of trading with the Leafs now after the Lupul/Gardiner fiasco. Ryan won't be coming to the Leafs.

We've got two prospects tearing up the AHL too, but when they hit the ice they're only about as good as 'decent', so I don't tend to take AHL skill with more than a bit of salt. Kadri would be a bit more mellow if he was in Long Beach though...

Grabovski can be compared to Ryan when he's 30g consistently, which is hard to tell unless it's been a few seasons.

Well I waited too long. I'm out at puck drop, but if any other bruins fan posts saying they're in before puck drop then I'm automatically in the bet. Is that fair?

I actually wouldn't mind him as a Leaf. I don't want him traded at all...
