Well, as already pointed out, they were tag team partners initially paired together because of their similarities. But I will agree that there isn't much diversity in the main event scene at the moment, but only because the main event scene currently consists of three guys, Richards, Strong & Edwards, all influenced in their styles by Japanese wrestling. Looking at the guys they've got waiting in the wings like Michael Elgin & Tomasso Ciampa (and Steen if he ever comes back to general ROH competition), there's a lot more diversity there in terms of look, character and style.
