Amen. I was going to import this game until I told my wife about having to "unlock" the Wii and she gave me the irate glare from hell. So I haven't played the game yet and I'm really, really looking forward to it. Ugh...waiting until April. Gah!
We talking the VC launch period or LTD? WKC will definitely top it yeah but I'm not so sure on VC. The difference is VC has seen a ton of $20 sales to eventually sell its printing out.

I usually don't like preordering, in this case it's probably for the best. You won't get a gutted copy if you do and GS might only receive enough coppies to fill preorders.
Xenoblade gets a US release after all, but only available through Gamestop (physical stores and online) or through Nintendo.com

However, what makes more sense is that Nintendo was wise in believing that the vast majority of the Wii owners interested in such titles tend to shop at specialized game stores like GameStop, instead of TRU, Walmart, Target, etc...
Happy about this. Hope Last Story will follow suit. Don't care much about Pandora, and DQX is coming to the Wii U so I doubt Nintendo will even bother launching it on the Wii outside of Japan.

This game looks really cool. I might pick it up. The one thing I wish is that there wasn't so much garbage jap-art/character/costume design going on here. I'm sick of seeing those round blob characters in japanese games. Zelda has them, moogles (these worked though, they were sleek), FFVII had something in it, I think FF9 did too, this game has some kind of weird fruity blob that carries an umbrella - I just don't get it. Get this stuff out of my games please.

Shipping on gamestop.com is free while shipping from nintendo.com is $5. Kind of don't want to support gamestop but I do like money. Decisions.

There are GameStops in Canada. For all intents and purposes they are the same as EB Games.
Unfortunately Xenoblade isn't in their system yet, so we can't preorder it yet.

Great news even if it's a GS exclusive, the game has gotten so much praise from importers I'm there day one to support this. Operation Rainfall scored a win apparently.
Is this for real? No offense, but it's pretty sad that one of the worst game retailers had to step in to save you from stepping up and politely telling your wife to chill out on a simple software file patch.
