Tende Freeze!

Cute little super powered romantic comedy. I have a feeling if this didn't end so soon, it would have genre shifted into a full on battle series. A little disappointed there was such an abrupt ending, but what can you do.

Guess I'll check out this guys ongoing series, Aiki.

Needless:

Fuck, shit got awesome again. So good. So much pantsu.

Accel World 5-8 - That's such a cocktease of a cliffhanger:
MY NAME IS--- Though, she recovered faster than I figured she would with how Chapter 5 treated it ("There will be a day ... when we will meet again.")
. Some events move a bit fast (...) but it's enjoyable. Curious to see what the battles aspire to do as things develop. Plus the whole
confession bit and possibly Chiyu still
has interesting places to go.

TLRD 14: Surprisingly good backstory chapter, and character development for Yami.

Also.

SO MUCH FANSERVICE HOLY SHIT I SEE UNMARKED VANS PULLING IN OUTSIDE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--

Fairy Tail

That chapter was funny except for it reminding me that Leo got shafted and pretty much misses out on everything the guild does now.

More of Murata's new manga got out and damn it looks crazy. Saw this on mangahelpers.

Just come out already, geez.

DO. FUCKING. WANT. hell, i wouldnt mind if he was doing a spider-man monthly after those shots.

D.Gray-man 210

Amazing chapter. I immediately recognized Allen as the clown. It´s always an amazingly funny chapter whenever Allen´s debt is brought up. Poor Allen
I don´t like Allen´s new look at all. Kanda´s stare towards Allen was really funny.

Looks like you guys have your priorities straight.

D. Gray. Man

So glad the search quest only lasted a chapter. I kind of like all the humor in this chapter (it makes me forgive the so-so art style at times).

Kanda getting hit on, drunk, and caring about Allen never thought I'd see that in a real DGM chapter.

Shhhh.. Just for tonight.... Momo is gonna be your "bodyguard"

Aiki vol 1

lol, the main character is a stoic douche. Action isn't bad, but I'm hoping not all fights are one-sided.

And yes, this is definitely by a dude that does porn >_>

HxH

I caught up, damn. I guess it's better to ignore this manga for another year or two. By that time I should be able to read the next 50 chapters. :lol

Silver Spoon 22:

It's good to have the manga back at school again. I missed a lot of the other characters.

Nisekoi 5:

I still don't know how long this series is going to last if the plot doesn't pick up a bit, but I'll keep reading. At least the way Naoshi has the series set up, he could easily end it without leaving a bunch of loose ends like Double Arts.

Claymore 121:

At this rate the story is going it will be 2 years from now before Claire comes back.

Gamaran 1-119:

I think this manga has the record for the most training arcs/stories I've dealt with in a series. Every 10 chapters it seems like Gama has to get training or in battle lessons. The battles are entertaining though, but this manga could definitely use more "expendable" characters.

How disappointed were you guys by the end of the ant arc? While Gon's outburst was pretty great, leaving the King without a fight was kinda lame, especially after seven years (lol). I still liked the arc and it made me appreciate the manga. Not that I want to rank anything, but it's definitely above One Piece.

Gon's outburst and transformation was some stupid shit. Don't want that trash in HxH anymore.

King was also ridiculously overpowered. But whatever, the "emotional" ending they went for him is better than whatever battle ending Togashi would have come up with.

Yeah, it ended a while back at the Christmas Bowl.
This is exactly where it ended. Precisely at the end of the Christmas Bowl. There is nothing afterwards, so don't bother looking for it.

Inject it into my veins. Do we know who's writing? Is it Murata himself?

I don't think Murata ever wrote anything, so we can safely assume he can't/doesn't want to.

Which is fine by me, I'd hate for a Murata illustrated manga to get dragged down by crappy storytelling.

The King was defeated by Netero. It wasn't the typical shounen defeat, but he lost and the way he lost made it unique.

The only qualms I have about the ant arc were (ignoring the hiatuses):

1) The ending was rushed, even after rereading the arc properly in one shot.

2) That one chapter where the King came back to life and everyone was behaving like they were on ecstasy was the stupidest shit I've ever seen from a mainstream manga. If someone had told me that was an April Fool's chapter when i read it I would have believed it. Luffy got changed into a girl April Fool's prank bad.

May be entirely mistaken, but I do believe he wrote (and illustrated, of course) his three one-shots (Madofuki Park, Blust, Minds) which were less than spectacular.

Which is why I agree completely with you in my hopes that he's teamed up with a good writer.

The Ant arc was pretty terrible in some aspects, but the ending was actually pretty interesting. The new arc seems like a return to form. He even seems to have cut down on some of the waffle

One Piece is definitely bester.

I caught up with HxH without having to go through the hiatuses. I thought that the ant arc was definitely strong, but the ending was wack imo. Gon transforming was some bizarre shit but was pretty out of place and a real "wtf????" (but badass) moment. I understand that it's a setup for what's happening in this current arc but there are tons of better ways Togashi could have put Gon in Critical Condition.

That's cruel, a Megumi chapter and then she was a car! Although I read the manga because of the detailed drawings of the mechanical things, the neverending lovestory is just the icing

but this is sooo hnnng! (Megumi + bike):

Nah the ending was pretty good due to how it didn't end with some ridiculous fight (if a good guy won it would have been extreme bullshit due to how fucking wack the king was) but instead the king dealing with his "personal" issues.

The Gon thing was pretty crazy and showed how his state of mind was basically broken after he heard the truth and with his current condition kinda allows him to step out of the limelight and other characters get their time to shine again.

I think Togashi did it as a means of getting rid of Pitou since S/he (lolz) had a pretty broken healing ability and probably would have been able to heal the King of the bomb poison thing.

It wasn't really out of place tbh, it was meant to be kinda like Kurapika's condition of not using his special chain against anyone other than the spiders, whatever condition Gon gave to his nen right there must've been pretty extreme.

D.Gray-man

It's a good thing that the search for Allen was short and funny. Gee, just how much debt does Cross have o_0

Shaman King 1-2

Manta is killing me. I just love that guy. His expressions are great. I totally forgot how crazy that little guy can be.

Kinda weird though seeing him actually sitting in class rather than standing on the chair, what with being at the height of a dude's... ankle.

let's look at that a little more carefully, yes?
