I was this close to post another page from Hayate but stopped myself at the last second.
Hayate does its flavors right if you were on the same topic. Even if you weren't...um yea, does.

All we really have to do is bring up shoujo and eroge/dating sims (to manga/anime) to ruin both arguments. Shoujo is the epitome of generic. Eroge/dating sims (to manga/anime) are the epitome of copy/paste.

Also Ken's art is annoying. That is all.

Let's have a thought experiment. Imagine Luffy defeating Blackbeard/Akainu to the same music used when he defeated Crocodile. You are know jizzing in your pants.

Yeah Hayate's art is fine (the lineart is too consistent but who cares). I meant a specific page that came to mind.

Hayate's art, while distinctive, is pretty meh. Not that that's a problem, since it's mostly a gag manga.

Still my favorite One Piece finisher in the anime just because of how they used that Dvorak piece. This also reminds me that I really should start reading OP again. I wanted to wait until they were leaving Fishman Island before I jumped back in.

Tasogare Otome

Yuuko's missing? Oh no... :(

TWGOK

I wonder what this school origin mystery will yield. Keima dodging Chihiro is kinda expected, but I must wonder what will happen when they have to confront one another again later on.

If following your definition of generic, for the life of me I cannot remember anyone that I can consider generic. I mean, I always recognize who is drawing what all the time.

For manga, yeah. Most artists that get a series serialized in a magazine are usually good enough to have developed a style that belongs to them and folks will recognize that it's them drawing it. There are cases where there folks that have the same style but it's somewhat rare in pro manga I think. Only ones that come off as similar when I think about it is Mashima and Oda but that's because Mashima is kinda weird.

The real generic comes from Eroge/Renai games where a lot of the art is ridiculously similar or almost the same because A) They get the same folks to draw every time or B) They get artists that come from the same art school and use the same or similar style because of it.

Yep. Always comes to mind.

I wonder why they have so many different hair colors...oh wait, no I don't.

You also forgot shoujo which I mentioned page top. Also some josei. I swear, the only way some of these artists are learning is copying each other and not being able to draw well. A potent combination.

There is good shoujo art though. It's just rare. Red-haired Snow White and Ludwig Revolution look great.

Tower of god 13-28

Man, i loved the twist of Lahel appearing out of no where. I really hated the reason for not letting Bam see her. It´s a shitty, unconvincing, and generic reason. The plot is becoming meatier, and things are flowing nicely.

Cool! Keeps more options open at least. Jinbe was feeling really likely this arc.

Then again you never know he might come back and be all, "WAIT I'LL COME."

I'd rather have someone like adult Sabo and/or a completely new character to join than Jinbe.

One Piece Spoilers

Hahaha.

Need more details though, this could just be a temporary thing and he agrees to join later (after a sappy flashback).

Then again this happened with Franky too...so yeah, let's wait for some chapters before we decide for sure. Even after CP9 was defeated Franky said no

One Piece spoilers - Trollolololol

So back to Shirahoshi guys? Guys?

I'll wait a few more chapters before feeling definitive on this
.

If Shirahoshi joins that would be cool but she needs something that can transform her to human size w/ human feet. A form similar to her mother's.

OP Spoilers
Human pirates are released and Neptune says that the remnants of the NFP can live on the main island as manual laborers.
Fishman district is blocked off. The Officers, Decken, and Hody are imprisoned. Wadatsumi is effectively deported and taken to a far away part of the sea by the Kraken.
Jinbe refuses but he says to wait, because he has to remain faithful to his duty. He says to come again another time and try inviting him once more.
The party on the island begins.

Robin sneaks away from the party and goes to see Neptune.
Robin asks about Joy Boy. He was a real person who lived in the void century, and that apology he wrote was aimed at the Mermaid Princess at the time.
According to the legend passed down by the royal line, it seems that someone would someday appear to fulfill the promise in lieu of Joy Boy. There was the promise to protect Noah until that day finally came.
On Sky Island, Robin knew the location of Poseidon. Poseidon was on Fishman Island, because Poseidon IS Shirahoshi, the mermaid princess.

Shirahoshi being a legendary weapon makes her more likely to join. I could see that being a big boon for the Strawhats and something that would scare the piss out of the WG when they learn Luffy has a legendary weapon as part of his crew...literally.

See, if this was already the case then it'd make a lot of sense to add her to the EVERYONES A NAKAMA! pool, but otherwise, she seems like every other character. Nothing says, "I'm the next one to join!"

Then again, I still stick by my rule of thumb of no one is going to join. Seems to work.

Oda is pretty smart guy. See, both Skypiea arc and Fishman Island arc were being compared as the worst arcs in One Piece, and now they are even more related to each other plot wise.

Smart move Oda.

But then it would lessen the values of legendary weapons. I mean she isn't going to be dominating all her fights.

The big reveal at the end of the series will be the Strawhat is actually a weapon called Zeus (Pluto, Poseidon, Zeus...they're brothers in mythology) and has the power to change the world

It seems like a retcon to me. Did Oda ever show that Robin knew about Poseidon being on fishmen island? I can´t remember. If not it´s a retcon.

Where does Hades fit here?

I don't see how it's a retcon if nothing was implied there in the first place. Robin found the location of Poseidon on the Poneglyph in Skypiea, but she never mentioned the fine details about it (she did the same thing on Alabasta)

If I recall the end of the Skypiea Arc, she merely comments that the tablets guided her to head to the "Ending point of the Grand Line." She might have said something about it at the start of the Fishman Island arc but I don't recall.

Robin never says anything about the weapons she reads about .
She only said the tribe had fulfill there duty .
If you want to go crazy you can say she said that because the Poneglyph was no longer on the lower seas not like it matters really.
