I feel the same way. There's no way I can understand being excited for spoilers. This is the kind of movie you should just see 1 trailer of, and then go in the theater once it's released and experience it all fresh.

Different strokes and all but if I went to see MI4 and they showed TDKR footage I'd honestly step out for 2-3 minutes and then come back in. It's that serious lol.

I would definitely step out if the Sydney IMAX wasn't so fucking huge. It would take too long to get back to my seat for MI4 and I wouldn't know when MI4 was starting.

I didn't even know Richmond had an IMAX

Langley is much better, less Asians too

I still can't get over how many people are lining up to spoil the movie for themselves, whilst I wish it wasn't even attached to my screening of Ghost Protocol.
I don't mind spoiling a movie like this, that's more about the spectacle than story.

If it's a slow moving drama or something, though, I'll try to remain spoiler-free.

e/ sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone :( I really have to get used to this forum

than why did you write less asian too comment?

If I'm gonna get spoiled, I'm gonna pay top dollar to do it right. No way in hell I'm gonna have the internet fuck me up over the next 7 months.

Again I just don't see this as spoilers. This is the actual movie. The first 6 minutes of the movie as it will be shown when its released. Its not footage spliced up to show the important parts of the movie and thus ruining the story. In fact that is what some badly put together trailers do.

Thankfully none of the Nolan movies have had trailers that reveal too much to the point you feel like you have seen the whole movie beforehand. I thought I knew so much about the TDK, followed the thread on it, watched the bank robbery opening, watched all the trailers, and then when I finally watched the movie I realized I knew nothing.

And from all accounts this prologue again doesn't spoil the rest of the movie, it serves more as an introduction to Bane much like the Joker was introduced in the bank robbery. From seeing just the bank robbery did you know anything about how the rest of the movie would unfold?

Spoilers are more like revealing the plot online, reading the script, knowing every detail, twist, line, and character in the movie. Spoilers are especially terrible for things that should be a surprise for you while you watch the movie the first time.

If anything the prologue is a far better preview than a trailer which shows shots from all over the movie. The only downside is that the actual movie is 7 months away so the wait is terrible.

It's spoiling it more in the sense that you won't be able to watch the whole movie fresh, but rather have the narrative revealed to you in increments six months apart. That's a long time to wait for the rest of the movie, as opposed to getting to watch the whole package fresh.

I agree effzee, in fact i think more films should be marketed this way. Sometimes i'm sitting in a film wondering "oh i wonder when the car chase is, or i know Gordon isn't really dead because he talks at the MCU in the trailer". At least the prologue gives you a taster and gets you HYPED without eluding you to every sequence in the film.

That I completely understand. In fact before when the bank heist was included with I Am Legend I told myself I wouldn't watch it, not cause it was spoilers, but because then the wait would be that much worse.

I even avoided it and only watched TDK #1 online but then a friend of mine dragged me to go see I Am Legend and paid for my IMAX tickets so I agreed. I didn't regret though simply cause it didn't spoil much of anything but it did make wait unbearable.

Nolan seems pretty okay with it.

It's not just the prologue, there's also a montage after it that will probably show more revealing shots than what will be in the actual trailers. For those who like me who hate when trailers show even key shots from films, that would suck.

Again if it follows the same format as TDK, and I bet it does, the montage would be very similar to seeing a bunch of random shots from the movie.

At the end of the bank robber scene they attached random shots like the Bat symbol light being broken, a fire truck on fire, Batman's make shift bat cave, Bruce standing next to the suit.....

We have 4 IMAX theaters in Hampton Roads and the closest theater that will have the prologue is in Richmond? What the fuck?

Digital IMAX theaters will not have the prologue. Only the IMAX theaters with projectors are showing the prologue.

Why? That is the best quality of picture you can get and that's how WB wants this prologue to be seen.

Different opinions I guess. I hate spoilers for a movie I can't see or haven't seen.

Watching the actual first 5 minutes is not like reading the script or about the plot on paper.

Besides if its executed as well as the Bank Heist and has nothing really to do with the rest of the movie's plot then its not spoiling much of anything.

Even if it does, you get to watch the first 5 minutes of the movie, its not like you're reading end spoilers on Superhero Hype or anything
