Those outfits, WTH is that shit. Ass/crotch cleavage on the princess, almost naked loli, and bare ass Miu. Why is Kenichi studying, are you for fuck-sake real? And why did Sakaki start a sentence, run 1/2 mile to the front of the castle, punch a hole in the wall, and then finish his thought!?! They weren't even close! And I can tell like 2% of the time WTH the action on the panels is doing. No, fuck that. -2% cause this manga breaks fucking logic in half. Seriously, it's such a cluster of shit. Everything is backwards and every panel is like a rorschach test. OMG it's a gun...oh wait, an arm...nah, it's a bunny...fuck. And the god fist comes in MURDERING someone and Sakaki scolds him in jest. GAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHH

I think you're thinking about it too much :x I actually don't find the action confusing at all, though. But the rest I'm with you on.

Princess to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Her outfit really was basically a thong, loli is practically naked, and Miu is indeed naked under her garb (with the funny hat/mask)

I think the panther stuff was worse. Its like he couldn't go two minutes without bringing up the black muscles things when they played. It was grating. And that last chapter character add made me think there would be more.. but that was a dud.

I don't see how it can't be confusing but it definitely depends on how close you are looking. I like can't move on reading if I can't make sense of a panel the best I can. HSDK never makes complete sense. There is always something off or out of place. You can always gather that Sakaki or someone kicked him, punched him, punched him, etc... But it's like he kicked him when? He punched that guy but wasn't he on the other side? Wait, he punched the third guy but how did he end up going in the opposite direction? Wait, wasn't the building they are on smaller in the last panel? What angle is that and which part is the ground? That kind of stuff. I can literally post a ton of examples each chapter. No other battle shounen have so many things all over the place that are so unclear.

Though, I was absolutely exaggerating in my last post. None of this stuff "truly" bothers me, I'm just blowing it up. Except when people bad-mouth the better romance candidates. Them fightin words.
 
GOOD ENDING

Wow, the latest chapter's first few pages are borderline hentai.... well, not really, but in an ordinary hentai those kind of scenes are most of the times only one or two panels away from the real action.

I hated Town Where You Live but for some reason I don't find Good Ending as particularly annoying or anything.... wonder why.

Ubel Blatt 1-12

Oh man, shota elf action has never been so good. The MC just keeps on killing and killing and it's awesome. There is some cool backstory, but that's not that much important to me. Oh yeah, the loli girl is also pretty funny. They need to give her more lines.

The breakthrough arc was very well done. The entire setup and the flashbacks they had were very cool too. And there was this new boobs lady which I'm guessing will be a permanent member

fake edit: Just started the new chapter and there is a naked girl bathing. This manga just keeps on giving.

Komusubi was definitely the Ensemble Darkhorse, His dismissive face was hilarious every time. Hiruma was also a really good character.

I contend that if Inagaki had just FIND AND REPLACE'd "superior black muscles etc" with "natural talent", it would have been far less uncomfortable to read :\

Still my favorite manga, but would not have minded if they cut the last arc out completely (despite some of my favorite characters getting a little attention)
 
For what basically amounts to "Berserk with shota elf", Ubel Blatt has a surprisingly compelling narrative and cast of characters.

It also helps that Koinzell DON'T TAKE SHIT FROM NOBODY.

So far outside of the loli, all the characters are forgettable, but the narrative is very well done.

So let's see the facts about Hiramaru

- He is a genius who never read manga before yet he made a popular new manga series
- He is a smart dude that knows it's all about getting rich
- He is funny
- He got 2 popular series running in WSJ
- He already had an anime and got an anime offer for his new manga
- He isn't a pussy that is afraid of talking to the girl he loves.

So why the fuck is this shitty manga about Mashiro and not Hiramaru?

Hm. Maybe I am just not looking close enough. Next time I'm in the mood for a re-read I'll pay closer attention to it.

On one hand, I'm happy that Utsumi got together with her, on the other hand it's annoying. Why swear this unending love for Yuki, if you can't even take some loneliness? It's cliché and not a good one.
Risa actions after finding out Utsumi is going with Shou though is... idiotic. She really has no self-esteem and it makes me feel both sorry as well as making me go "uh?". She doesn't look ugly, she's depicted in the manga through words as a beautiful and mature-looking girl, so this being ugly talk felt bizarre.

There's some, but it's predictable stuff I think - all is not as it seems, notGermany is conquering places, etc. The appeal is in seeing people shoot each other and seeing the training that goes into it, along with cute notGerman/Prussian people doing Prussian/German things.

I was not expecting this kind of brutality in this manga. Before now, humans didn't really get caught in the crossfire, and if they did it wasn't outright shown. Now we're seeing totally innocent bystanders get decapitated and crushed and shit.

I haven't read many manga, but the art, anatomy and perspective in Eyeshield is truly incredible stuff. I'll have to reread it one day..

Since it's Nao we're talking about, I'm guessing the "trap" is related trust (getting the participants to not work together through mistrust) and that Nao is going to try to show how people can work together in Bid Poker.

I don't advise it. It's just something I do that I wish I didn't. The worst was Accel World a few weeks back. A couple pages on an early battle seriously had me scratching my head. I couldn't figure out anything. There's just some manga like HSDK that have piss-poor action panel logic and/or object confusion. For me, it makes me appreciate series that are so succinct like Until Death Do Us Part and Sun-ken Rock. I also have to give credit to series like Freezing and Negima. You would expect them to be all over the place but I rarely have an issue moving across panels.

As I said, I don't advise it since it's frustrating but there are a lot of series that just keep the action moving much more logically then others. I would have expected more scrutiny from battle fans ITT though since it really is the heart of it all. Bleach gets that sort of treatment at times.

Very true. I don't read HSDK for the action but at times there can be moments. As of late though, it has been all over the top frivolous fighting that doesn't have the tension of say the Apachai fight. That is accompanied lately with loli, bare-ass, and 1/4 pants. So I'm not sure what to make of it.
