Patches hasn't been hitting that much this year, doesn't get in people's faces, but he's been our best offensive forward aside from Cole.

Talbot! Vokoun is so bad. So much for all the experts saying he would be better then Bryz this year.
Hopefully the play of the second continues, as it definitely favored us. As long as Datsyuk doesn't make any more absurd backhanders, we'll be good.

Bryz has been playing much better lately and will continue to improve. By the end of the year their numbers wont even be close.

Honestly, haven't watched more than a game or two from each. I do know Philly has a terrible defense. Is it fair to say Washington has a better defensive team in front of Vokoun?

Ward is having his worst season as a starter. GAA is 3.37 and save % is under .900. There is no quick fix for the Canes. I expect the FAs like Ruutu, Gleason and Allen to be shopped and for the Canes to give their prospects more slots on the roster next year.
I will say that they'll go into this CBA situation at the extreme low end of the cap, so depending on what the new cap rules are, they could be positioned to make a splash in free agency (ala the Panthers).
