Issue with the horn:
I don't recall the horn ever being blown three times in Clash, unless they move the prologue from Storm up to fit in the finale of season2.

I really don't understand their DVD policy. It's like they hold sets off until the next season with the intention of the new season driving DVD sales, instead of releasing a DVD set in order to get more people interested in the new season.

It would make sense to move some of the prologue into S2, mainly the disgruntlement and plotting that leads some Night's Watch members to plan on killing Mormont and Sam. Having the plot thwarted by three horn blasts would make sense, and be a great final scene.
The producers have mentioned people who die later in the series will die in this season. That might suggest they're moving a lot of the Wall stuff from ASOS into this season, perhaps even the murder of Mormont.

His arc was one of the best bits of ASOS for me. Edit: misread your post sorry. Thought you said he only gets good in AFFCJaime only gets better in AFFC.
So I just started AFFC and
I was reading the first Cersei chapter and I'm just fucking incredulous. GRRM really tries so hard to hammer in our heads how Cersei is afraid of Tyrion, how she thinks he's a monster, etc. but she's just not relatable at all. Mostly because we never got a sense that Tyrion is ever any kind of threat to little children or a sinister person. Yeah, he killed Tywin, but Tywin really had it coming for all the shit that he's done. Anyway, I dunno if having chapters from a POV of a character who you've completely villified previously is a good idea, when you can't justify any of their inner motivations.

She's a paranoid manic
And extremely stupid.
I really hope that they have(Book 2/3)Daenerys meet Barriston much earlier this season, which would allow for some conversations that would help flesh out the world better. Barriston could give the closest thing to an objective view of the events preceding the series, and could help the audience better understand the political situation, and the motives of the characters.
Filming is officially finished

Is that Selyse standing next to Stannis in this screen cap?
We have a very special treat for our readers, an exclusive clip pulled from Creating the World of Westeros, the bonus video given to those who pre-order Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season via the HBO Shop.
Dunno. But I must say Stannis looks way better in the teaser than he looked in the behind-the-scenes video. I still wish he had a beard but at least he looks somewhat imposing.
And extremely stupid.
I finished ASOS today and... (spoilers! spoilers! spoilers! comments regarding various plot points)
-"Is there gold hidden in the village? Is there silver, gems? Is there food? Where is lord Beric? Where did he go? How many men were with him? How many knights, how many bowmen? How many, how many, how many, how many, how many, how many?" (sweet, sweet revenge for Arya)
-""You raped her. You murdered her. You killed her children"

-The last Dany chapter felt really sad... or "melancholic", more precisely. Loved the vibe it gave me, and felt kinda bad about Jorah (even if I shouldn't or whatever).
-The last Sansa chapter gave me a similar vibe. I loved that whole "building Winterfell out of snow" part, felt sort of ethereal and peaceful (and, again, melancholic) after the moments of carnage and betrayal and epicness on the previous chapters.
-Regarding that same chapter: Lysa was fucking INSANE and now I get why little Lord Robert was so fucked up in the head - with a mother like that, who wouldn't. I'm glad she got Moon Door'd.
-Littlefinger... what a shifty dude. Seriously. This guy's like ten steps ahead of everybody else (except maybe Varys) it's creepy... and yes, poor Sansa.
-Poor Arya, too. She was THIS close to reunite with her mother and brother and then the Red Wedding happened. Then again, if she had been there before, she might've been killed, which would've been much much worse, so... anyway, I'm curious about her journey to Braavos. I hope she finds peace there.
-Bran, Hodor, Osha, the Reeds and Summer - interesting. Some parts felt kinda "filler" but I was engrossed by the end. Who is this "Coldhands" anyway? Intriguing.
-LORD SNOW! Yay!
-Also, "you know nothing, Jon Snow"
-Also, I hate Alliser Thorne and Janos Slynt.
-I'm still on the fence about Melisandre and R'hllor. On the one hand, I do believe the "enemy" is beyond the Wall, the Others and all that crap. On the other hand, I'm not convinced about the supposed inherent goodness of R'hllor and its servants. In this saga nothing's quite what it seems.

-""You raped her. You murdered her. You killed her children" (stupid Oberyn Martell, you got owned anyway)
-The world's a better place without that fucking scumbag Joffrey. Oh how I enjoyed his painful death.
-What's with the ending? Zombie Catelyn? O_O

During my pre-ADWD reread, THIS moment stuck out to me more than any other. I remembered all the big events, but this simple episode of poignancy, a moment to breathe in the midst of such huge, game-changing events is so wistfully well-written that it really made me stop and reflect. It reminds you that despiteall the events that Sansa has gone through including being take hostage and abused, witnessing and hearing about how her family has been wiped out, and manipulated as a pawn in the grand scheme of things, she's still a child.
Sorry if this has been asked a ton of times, but is there really nowhere for me to stream this online if I don't have cable/HBO?
I've been reading the first book and loving it (about halfway done) and would like to start watching the series, but so far I have no idea how to do so. I don't want to pirate it. It doesn't seem to be available to stream on Hulu or Netflix, and HBO seems to require you to have an HBO subscription already.
Why won't anybody just take my money so I can watch it?!
A resounding "yes!" to that last part. It's really well written andoddly enough, I wouldn't have minded if the chapter had ended that way: Sansa building Winterfell out of snow, with her hands, alone on a grey morning. It would've been a poignant ending to the book (or at least the named chapters, before the epilogue lol)
I always kind of wished the book had ended that way. Such an amazing scene.

iTunes.
I didn't know they gave out stunt awards, too.No one's mentioned the SAG Awards nominations yet? Thrones was nominated for best stunts and best ensemble in a drama series.
Just started watching this series yesterday. reminds me sooo much of Rome, the themes of debauchery. Loving it so far.
