Yeah but that does not necessarily mean Batman is killed. At least I hope not. I would hate that ending to be honest.

Yeah, it doesnt mean he dies, but i would like him to. I love Batman, but I always hated his comic book deaths because they always felt cheap. Him dying after saving Gotham would be a great way to end the series, IMO. That or Alfred chokes on a Tangerine. I would take either.

Why are you both misremembering BB? The car doesn't fly or climb. He drives to the top of a parking garage, uses the bridging boost off the ledge, lands on a building, drives on the building, boosts again, repeat.

I didn't say the Tumbler could fly, I said it jumps. I was saying that the idea of being put off by him having a flying vehicle was dumb since he had a tank that can jump. Flying vehicles actually exist, so finding it outlandish was funny.

Just have to see how it's done. Don't really want it either, though. But, I think it could be done well.

I think the bad idea is the time leap. Right there is where WB will come back to the well without Noland and Bale.

That seems to easy to me.

"We wanted to end Batman so we just killed him!"

Find another way that ends your story to the point no one can pick up and make a direct sequel.

New cast and director. We already know Nolan and Emma Thomas will remain as producers for whoever picks Batman after him (WB confirmed this) so hopefully the tone and respect that Nolan has shown the franchise continues. No origins story but pick up with Batman already being Batman.

Nolan is going to be back. Producer.

I think it is the opposite. It is easy for them just to make him live on and keep being the protector of Gotham. Every other Batman movie has done this. I just want something big to happen. It doesnt mean him dying, but i think that would be a great emotional punch to end his trilogy.

Can we unspoiler this? Its too hilarious and doesn't really contain any spoilers.

I won't unspoiler it, because it actually contains a lot of real spoilers, just not in that order of course and I know it might ruin some scenes to those who want to go unspoiled.

I don't know how many of you know this but WB already has a Reboot Batman project for 2015.

Either it is because Nolan/Bale are gone after this project or something happens in the movie that would cause them WANTING to reboot.

Also,
I remember early before the film was officially announced that Nolan was having issues with WB with the script and that WB is unhappy with it.

My wish would be that it ends with him realizing he can't be anything but Batman. Bruce is just a fake. He has no life.

Agree.

Yeah. I hope it's in a slightly meaningful way. The best we can probably hope for though is that he comes up with a rough story idea and gives it to them to run with like he and Goyer did with Superman. We'll see in five years or so, 'cause I don't think WB will let the franchise rest at all. And if they want to fill in that gap, they're going to whether he likes it or not. And he may very well be fine with the idea. He'll get to cash those checks while going and making better movies.

So the digitial IMAX showings of Mission Impossible 4 also have the trailer attached? There is a showing tonight I'm thinking about catching, and it'd be great if the trailer was shown.

The spoiler you mean with TDKR?
They were unhappy with the direction they went with the ending, possibly making a sequel obsolete..aka death of the main character or something alike.
And that is also why Levitt won't
don the batsuit. That would be too sequel friendly for the studio to bark.

In other words Levitt is not "Robin" for those who are delusionally thinking.

Bale liked Batman before The Dark Knight.

Insomnia
The Dark Knight
Inception

The fuck?

Regarding Harvey Dent...
How the hell would Bane even know that Dent went on that murderous rampage to break everyone's spirits?

I love that WB gave Nolan the ability to tell his story, self-contained, whether they were happy with it having to be rebooted or not.

Too bad actual comics weren't allowed that same luxury, barring Frank Miller.

Letting a talented writer/artist tell JUST their story, outside of continuity, in more than a mini-series but less than a continuous story would be beneficial for comics.

(I know that some people such as Morrison are allowed this, but it needs to happen more often and without the constraints of a mini-series. if it has to take 7 years to tell the story, let it happen).

Fuck.

So this Bane partially inspired by the mutant leader. That makes sense, they have the same vibe.

Digital IMAX showings of MI4 won't have the prologue or trailer attached. Nothing. Nada.

Sherlock Holmes has trailer #1.

Only projector/non-Digital IMAX (truMAX) theaters have prologue with MI4.

See, that's what I thought as well, but then I saw THIS story from IGN a few days ago that says differently. So now I'm confused.

Maybe the next Batman movie will actually feel like a Batman movie.

I haven't read comics in a little over a year now. I kept purchasing but stopped towards the beginning of "The Return of Bruce Wayne".

Has there been any decent completed stories or standalone series lately?
