The Dark Knight Rises (Batman 3) - No Riddler

All pretty much true, but still, would have liked to see Joker's reaction to what appears to be full blown anarchy. As well as his reaction to not being it's architect, but a bystander.

In a sense he is the architect. In the released pictures we see
Bane holding a picture of Harvey Dent. He's revealing the truth to Gotham. Remember what the Joker said: "Until their spirit breaks completely! Until they get a good look at the real Harvey Dent, and the all heroic things he's done. You didn't think I'd risk losing the battle for Gotham's soul in a fist fight with you? No. You need an ace in the hole. Mine's Harvey." So thematically, the clown's still in the game.

That revelation, on Bane's part, will represent the Joker's victory. Bane's presence in Gotham is the manifestation of all those civilized people eating each other.

Somewhere, probably in a padded cell, the Joker's gotta be smiling.

I think the Joker would be banging his head against the jail wall since e is not part of the chaos - not smiling

If Batman survives this film, I'd love some out of the blue announcement in 10, 15, 20 years that The Dark Knigh Returns. Don't use all the mutants and Superman, just take older Batman, older recast Joker and let Chris Nolan go fucking wild.

He's just a mad dog. He wouldn't know what to do with the chaos if he actually brought it about.

Like Bruce says, all the Joker wanted was to prove that Gotham could fall..and in TDKR, it looks like he'll be right. I don't think he'd be banging his head against the wall at all. He had one final card up his sleeve with Harvey Dent, and it looks like he's going to ultimately be pretty fucking successful.

He's smiling.

Maybe, though I still don't see why Gotham would do that. "oh, the District Attorney went and off'd a couple people after he was blown up. Well, time to get another District Attorney. I wonder if they serve hors d'oeuvres at this party."

I guess it might depend on when Bane might do this speech, and when in the movie the time jump is.

I also think the Joker played up this "mad dog" view point. I think he's much more intelligent and "sane" than anyone else realizes. At least the Nolan version.

It'll be interesting to see how the script handles it all. My point is just that there are clearly ways to carry over the Joker thematically into this new film..and from the looks of things..they're trying to do that.

I think that's part of the reason for the 8 year timeskip. By the time TDKR starts, Dent has been completely deified by Gotham.

Took a peek. I didn't have any problems whatsoever with the stadium scene. It looked convincing enough, and honestly maybe you wouldn't notice it instantaneously while running with a huge helmet on. He probably picked up on it after seeing the audience freak out (assuming that happens...)

The only goofy part to me was seeing the Batwing for that half a second. I dunno - I never liked it from the beginning - it just seemed to look awkward. These concerns are probably unwarranted though, as they are nothing more than fleeting speculations based on seconds of unfinished footage. Still doesn't change the fact that it feels a bit out of place. We'll see...

still think the people going down the cave to find the batmobile and reverse engineer it thus the camouflage batmobiles being used by Bane's men

Power of myth. Dent always was and always will be more than just a D.A. He's "the first legitimate ray of light in this city in decades". Basically, what we know of TDKR suggests that The Dark Knight's ending succeeded in the way Batman and Gordon intended it to.

I wish the Joker was also in this, could you imagine? Very excited about this now though. I have a feeling now that Bane is gonna be a badass character.

Good chance it is the same well Bruce fell into as a child and after getting surprised attacked he has to climb out on his own. Play on the over all theme of getting up after you fall.

everytime a new vehicle gets introduced in these nolan batman movies people overreact. so far the tumbler and the batcycle or whatever were awesome, I'm sure nolan's version of the
batwing
is going to be cool too.

Nope, there is also a new trailer running just over 2 minutes. Attached to Sherlock.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiit, someone send me a PM pl0x!

Just seen it from a darkknightrisesrumours.com site.
Crappy quality but it looks interesting. This should be a grand finale to the awesome series.

So basically I've figured the story by now
at the start bane breaks a plane to make sure CIA doesn't know about bane. Bane captures a professor named Pavel who constructs a doom machine. There is a woman in Wayne Industry who is friends with Bruce, but also secretly steals technology to Bane. Catwoman is aware of his plans. Bane wants to liberate Gotham. He frees inmates, batman shows up and they fight. Bane forces fatigue in him. Bane attacks a stadium to show the machine. Batman appears and they fight again, with bane losing this time. Next time they meet in a batcave where bane breaks him. And destroys the batcave. After this Bane takes over Gotham. Jails are filled with rich and DR. Crane acts as judge, sentencing people to death. Bane is a outlaw mayor. He wants to decimate Gotham and make Bruce witness it before he kills batman. But batman becomes a legend of freedom and Bruce trains himself back into the shape. Catwoman frees him and others after a change in heart. A large revolving fighting ensue. Catwoman and batman follow the earthquake machine. Batman uses vtol to eliminate tumblers and catwoman steals the doom machine truck. Bane stops a tumbler to fire the batting down and it crashes on top of a tumbler where bane is. After crash Bane wants to kill him for ruining his reign, but fails, when batman takes his mask out. Batman wins, but is afterwards so crippled, he most likely dies as a symbol of freedom on the scene.
. As based on all gathered leaks and Pittsburgh footage and couple of rumors.
Can we unspoiler this? Its too hilarious and doesn't really contain any spoilers.

No fucking way WB will let Nolan kill Batman. The movie is going to end with a shot of Batman standing over the city and someone talking about it being The Batman's city.

No, it really does contain spoilers..even if he's wrong about how some of them stitch together.

Feel the wrath of Jett and Solo should it be untagged.
Its fanfic

I wonder if JKR could have killed Potter if $ wasn't involved

How was money a motivator in the ending of that story?

The end of the Harry Potter saga is about as definitive as they come. She as good as killed him, as far as setting up a possible sequel is concerned.

Michael Bay's Batman will hit theatres summer of 2016.

Why un-spoiler it? You read, those who want to read it read it, so discuss it with them.

It was Goyer who said that, not Nolan. His idea was to make Joker the main villain of TDK, end it with Dent becoming Two-Face, then make Two-Face the primary for the third movie with Joker filling a Hannibal Lecter-type role.

This was before TDK even came out though, and obviously that movie ended very differently what Goyer initially conceived.

Even that seems far-fetched. In fact I remember that idea tossed around a lot around the time TDK came out and again it was something fans brought up and imagined the third movie would be about.

WB was reportedly unhappy with the ending, because it meant they had to do a complete reboot of the series again. So something dramatic happens.

Yeah but that does not necessarily mean Batman is killed. At least I hope not. I would hate that ending to be honest.

First spoiler I've read :(

While it is a spoiler, it is something Nolan himself revealed in the Empire magazine interview.

My rule of thumb is that whatever information Nolan is willing to share won't really give away the movie.

Its not something that ruins anything. Its just something I'd have preferred to discover on July 20.
