Well Connor is out tonight so one less speedy player you'll have to deal with and Emmerton is back in so that really sucks, hoping the Wings can play like they did in the 3rd of last game and not like the first 2 periods.

Must you?

It is the only thing Sef can hold onto anymore with how up and down the Preds have been over the last few seasons, it reminds him of a time when for one night, all was right in the world. Well according to him at least.

Fuck. No Daniel Sedin tonight. The Canucks forward lines are going to be a cluster fuck:

Raymond - Hank - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Hansen
Mancari - Hodgson - Lapierre
Alberts - Malhotra - Weise

Chris pronger likely done for the season

That contract is working out beautifully.

Actually, this makes the contract not as bad, and actually gives us some room to work with this season come deadline. Once Pronger "retires" aka can't play anymore due to injury he goes on LTIR and we get credits towards the cap for his salary every year. That's a huge win for the Flyers for the next few years considering how bad he's been when he's played. And for this year we're going to have like 3.5m in credits by the time the deadline comes along so if Homer thinks Giroux will be healthy and we can make a playoff run he can get a pretty damn good rental that we may actually be able to sign next season.

So yeah, on one level this really sucks. Pronger can be great and brings something really important to the team. However, he hasn't been playing well lately and this potentially solves the problem that everyone has seen coming for years with Pronger's ridiculous cap hit late in his career.

Yeah, luckily it's just a stiff back and basically a maintenance day since we're not playing an important team.

Actually, seems like it'll be Rome-Malhotra-Lapierre on the third line, Mancari-Hodgson-Weise on the fourth. The third will be a "checking" line. Alberts plays D.

At this rate, Luongo should dress as a forward.

It doesn't really matter what the bottom two lines are, they'll suck tonight.

Honestly, I'd rather see Hodgson move up to the 2nd line and Hansen move back down to the 3rd. If you're going for more of a "checking" 3rd line over an attacking one with the injuries we have, Hansen's game lends itself better to that than Hodgson or Rome or whoever they'll use.

I'd go:

Raymond - Hank - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Hodgson
Weise - Lapierre - Hansen
Rome - Malhotra - Mancari

and have a night where the 4th line only gets like 5 minutes of ice time.

This 24/7 is the first one I've been able to watch. Was last season's this good? It's so cool having the curtain pulled back a bit. I want to walk around like Laviolette today saying fuck every chance I get. Bryz definitely would be an awesome guy to hang around with.

Loved Lundquist giving Buffalo Chophouse some love. Oh, and Hartnell telling Cooke "Alright, bud. You're the dirtiest player in the league" was awesome.

Last year's was superb too.

1 minute speech from Dan Bylsma:

"Let grind these bitches down."

And this is Boudreau motivating his guys. Hilarity ensues:

Dude, he's now property of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Checked his post history. Apparently his last post was summer 2010. He'd been posting about once a month for a long while, so it seems like he just drifted away. Much better than a sudden drop-off.

Will be interesting to see what Shanahan and the NHL do about McQuaid's knee-on-knee with Foligno. Kevin Porter got four games for this more or less identical knee-on-knee with Booth. The only difference is that Foligno is OK and Booth is missing 4-6 weeks.

I'm guessing 2 games and the video will specify the lack of an injury.
WHELP

Rarely do we see such flagrant examples of suspend the result, not the action.

And it just had to be a Bruin that got off scot-free.

[edit] I actually thought Sanjuro was kidding about the non-suspension. Didn't seem possible.

Just need a solid playoff push to multiply our numbers

Old fanbase x playoff round ÷ likelyhood to burn down your city regardless of outcome = New fanbase

I call it the 'Complex Arithmetical Number Unit Calculus Königsberg Solution'

Ruutu basically carried Lapierre into Ward. Goaltender interference. Why can't refs account for the influence of other players? This cost us a goal the other night, too.

I wonder if Carolina's leading the league in PP-PK ratio for yet another season. Carolina has already had 3 PPOs in 15 minutes. Canucks have had none.

Bruins can do anything, NHL has a bad case of guilt it seems concerning what happened with savard and are letting them do whatever they want apparently. Half their roster has blatantly tried to injure someone recently yet they never have to answer for it.

You mean you didn't like his modeling segment? Such a douche.

Although I admit I did laugh at the smirk he gave Anisimov.

Avery also gave off some serious Bill Paxton vibes during the opening montage when he said "You're a fucking loser"...maybe that was just me

I actually like Anisimov a lot. Seeing him apologize after the Tampa loss was cool after how he was vilified...just one of the things you don't see
