I see so the chairman of the department of neurosurgery for West Penn Allegheny Health System is not credible?
Right.

Wish flyers gaf could put together a team. I mean we could probably get a few lines:Leafs-Age you'll have to hold it down for me tonight and tomorrow. Got a plethora of Christmas parties I'm going to, I'm not going to be anywhere near a computer to comment during the games.
Normally I'd be worried but over the years the captain and Manics have been able to assemble a great team here, I'm sure one of you will be able to pick up the slack while I'm gone.

Yeah he's a brain surgeon and all but he doesn't know the specifics of crosbys condition..I see so the chairman of the department of neurosurgery for West Penn Allegheny Health System is not credible?
Right.
I'm a Flyers fan and I had both Giroux and Pronger on my fantasy team, so all of this recent news has been very hard on me.
The Flyers have shown they can win without Pronger. Lots of time left before the trade deadline, so they're free to just sit on what they have for now and see what happens. I've got a lot of confidence in Holmgren right now to do what's right for the team without freaking out and doing something rash.

I'm missing the game tonight too, have a Christmas party.
DarrenDreger said:Told the Calgary Flames are out of the Turris hunt. Ottawa still has interest. Wpg isn't in. Toronto is in its freeze (lol)...
Bruins fans' will respond saying that is just part of the game.
Don't know if there's any interest at all with the Turris trade watch (not that it's been a big deal), but Darren Dreger updated on it:

"Toronto is in its freeze" is, what I'm assuming, Burke's personal policy on not making trades around Christmastime, so players can spend the holidays without worrying about getting traded.
This is correct. Double-B has his own internal "trading deadline" before Christmas and before the official NHL trade freeze. Not sure what day the NHL trade freeze goes in officially during the Christmas break, but Double-B's is more caring towards human beings.

You can't be serious Schuey. Doesn't Cammy have like one of the best snap wrist shots in the league? Plus a true playoff performer?
He probably just needs to be motivated again.
Yeah. It was late and I was tired and annoyed that we lost the game. He is great in the playoffs. Playing with Pleks who is also stuggling isn't helping him. If he could play with Patches or some other bigger players it would probably help, but you can't break up the Habs top line.
If he gets less than 20 goals this year that is not good or acceptable though.
Mike Milbury assaulted some kid at a rink.
I'm convinced that he's been playing hurt most of the season. As for lines, its a double edged sword. Yes, Patches-DD-Cole is great. But Cammy looked his best all season when he was with DD and Cole. And we know Patches can play with anyone. And Pleks isn't really a guy who makes space for Cammy. If I had a chance to tinker lines for a few games, I'd try:
AK-Pleks-Patches (power forward-two way center-power forward)
Cammy-DD-Cole (sniper-playmaker-power forward)
Leblanc-Eller-Gionta (cerebral winger-power forward-heart)
Weber-Nokes-Moen (shooter-faceoff specialist-versatile forward)
Spread the size across each line.
Seriously? I mean part of me is saying "Yes, hope he gets fired!" Then I realize a kid got assaulted :/ The kid probably called McQuaid a dirty player. Milbury had to defend his honor.

Like those lines. I would be pretty suprised if they had Gio on the 3rd line, but it is the only fit. I'm looking forward to having White back as well. That will give the 4th line a boost. When Gomez comes back he is going to mess everything up.
With White, Gomer and Markov back, Leblanc and Diaz to Hamilton and Weber traded:
AK-Pleks-Patches
Cammy-Gomez-Cole
Moen-Eller-Gionta
Nokes-DD-White
Subban-Gill
Markov-Emelin
Kaberle-Campoli
PP1:
Patches
Pleks
Cammy
Markov
Kaberle
PP2:
Cole
Gomez
AK
Subban
Emelin

Actually, I expect its going to be Eller that is going to get fucked over by Martin when Gomez returns, not DD. Martin loves DD whereas Eller is his whipping boy.
Yeah, he "rewards" Eller and Leblanc when they play well by benching them.
That blew my mind last night. I didn't see any obvious mistakes by him..Yeah, he "rewards" Eller and Leblanc when they play well by benching them.
Is all the Eller talking just you guys messing with Manics? I dont watch many Habs games but I dont recall him doing anything last night, and a quick check on NHL.com shows him to have 2 goals and 7 assists in 30 games. I could see those numbers for a rookie but he played 77 games last year.
Yeah what was up with that? I was in and out watching that game but I saw Leblanc got his first goal then the noted in the third he had only played 50 seconds...
After reading the article it sounds more like he was sticking up for his son, but who knows. Would like to hear more.
So many hypocrites in this thread.
Pretty much. When did I defend assault? I could throw in that you defended Joe Paterno. Is that aimed at me? I can't think of many civil assaults I've defended... I also think I'm pretty even about who I give the benefit of the doubt to. I remember being one of only a few non-Bruins-Age people defending some of the Bruins' hits in the playoffs last year.

It's relevant if you are going to accuse me of advocating assault. Seems in your mind violently raping over a dozen boys is on the same level as shaking a twelve year old after a fight.Joe Paterno was never accused of a crime, nor realistically could be, kinda like Mike Milbury's assault. I think you missed my defense of him too, my point was that the school owed him more loyalty than to make him public martyr #1, but that's not really relevant here.

Just what this story needed, a cover up. So you aren't willing to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding intent? McQuaid is not a cheap shot artist and why would he go after the knee of a friend? There was no intent to injure and I think that's what both players were talking about.Foligno and McQuaid played junior hockey together so they're not going to get into some battle of words in the media, he gave him the benefit of the doubt.
McQuaid pretty much says that Foligno made a quick move to get around him so he had to get in his way and the only thing he could do is stick his leg out.
Really?Since he plays for the Bruins he knows he can get away with it.
It was a stupid move and he's lucky no one got hurt. No admission of that on his part, just the old "I was making a hockey play I wasn't trying to hurt anyone !".
Adam McQuaid said:“If I could take it back, I definitely would,” said McQuaid, who blocked a pair of shots and registered three hits in. “It was one of those things where you go, ‘Oh, crap’, right after it happened.
"The penalty was deserved. That’s not me at all. I think that’s actually my first major penalty in my career outside of the fighting calls, and I don’t plan on getting any more.”
Oh well no one got hurt and he got Shanafined for pocket change. Not even worth it at this point.
...
The fact he is being charged leads me to believe it is worse than the articles portray it currently.
Well that is the only alternative that sticks. The time line seems pretty spread out, so they would have had to found something that stuck.Maybe not. It could be a case of trying to embezzle money from a relatively big name. Obviously I don't know the particulars of the case, but maybe the family of the boy are trying to pressure him into settling out of court or something like that.
Sanjuro Tsubaki said:I'm not defending Milbury. The only articles I have seen are less than a page long and mentions he shook a kid after getting into a fight with his son. If I could charge other adults who did something similar to me when I was a kid, I would have been in court a dozen times.
You're Habs property now, Supersonic. Enough with the Leafs chat.
and there's the sef we know and love
