I don't know if I'd call it a full blown stalker, but somebody definetaly had some pent up feelings they unloaded. Start at post 12,948 if interested. Just jump around looking for his and Solo's posts after that.
Started at post 12,948, immediately lost interest.

Movie-Solo is pretty annoying. I wish he were more like Habs-Solo. The problem is that I don't hate Christopher Nolan like I hate Leafs fans. :(

why the hell are you guys talking about solo when the top post on this page holds 1080p direct feed screenshots of the trailer?!

what realm is this?!

Dmc is useless. Think about it, when was the last time he gave us anything?
All he did for us..was make a thread about JGL playing young falcone.

Things are worse than ever!
Deshi Deshi Basara Basara!

direct feed? lol there's a damn head at the bottom right of those shots.

those images are quite huge, so you don't see whole picture on a small laptop.

I agree.
I am more interested in the Bruce/Alfred angle than I am with the whole dressing up as a flying nocturnal rodent thing. I really hope we don't see a lot from Batman this next film. Hopefully, Bruce's ordeal will lead to more focus on Bruce Wayne as a character. With only a few minor Batman scenes. That's probably why I didn't like TDK as much as BB. No Bruce. Only Batman shouting incomprehensible gibberish.

All of those things required massive intellect to pull off? Seriously?
Nothing in the film ever made me think that "wow" the joker is a genius and I find it interesting that you feel that he needed to be for those events to go down.

I thought the whole point was that the 'mad dog' stuff was a load of shit. The Joker is a liar and a hypocrite, he always has a plan and know exactly what he is doing at all times.

TDK had a lot less scenes with Batman in them than anyother Batman movie. So sorry Jibril but no.

I like how the movie's tone seems a little darker than the previous two, which is always a good thing when it comes to Batman.

Just saw the trailer in front of Sherlock. The football scene looks a lot better on the big screen, but we'll just have to see if the execution of it is good or dumb in the end product. The bass in the chant/music is really awesome.

- Joker puts bombs on Rachel and Harvey and gives Batman the addresses of where they are, but in reverse order. Batman goes for Rachel and ends up getting Harvey. Rachel dies. We discover that the Joker is insane, has a flair for the theatrical, is a pathological liar, and thrives on chaos. You don't say?

Wait a sec here.

I thought that Batman made the decision to save Harvey over Rachel, because of the whole 'white knight' thing and that the city would have been better off with him taking over Bruce/Batman?

no, this was probably my favorite thing about TDK. When Joker tricked Batman's ass. He switched the addresses on purpose because he noticed how pissed off Batman got when he mentioned Rachel (so he guessed Batman would go for Rachel at the end) and decides to switch the addresses at the last second.

That's MY take on it and I prefer to keep it that way.

That's what I thought too considering Batman tells Gordon he's going after Rachael, and kinda pauses when he opens the door and sees Dent.

I don't think that's necessarily true, there's a lot more Bruce Wayne centred scenes in BB. There is a lot more focus on Bruce as a character in BB too. You don't even get to see Batman until about halfway through the movie.

Your take is the correct take. Not only does batman say he's going to save Rachel but Gordon then shouts to his men "We're getting Dent!" Joker switched the addresses on purpose.

My take was that batman was always intending to go for Dent but just said he was going for Rachel.

Why does he pause with a defeated look on his face when he opens the door and sees Dent? If Batman had been pretending to get Rachel then why didn't Gordon show up at Dent's building as well (Gordon says explicitly they are going after Dent)? It's quite clear that Bruce goes after Rachel, Gordon goes after Dent, and Joker switched the addresses. The Joker knew Batman had a weakness over Rachel and he exploited it.

Saw the prologue in front of Ghost Protocol tonight. Other than Gary Oldman, I couldn't understand a word anyone said.

Why in the fuck did Bane give that dude a blood transfusion? Why was there a fucking hovercar in the "sizzle reel"? Batman with a gun?

I really hope they take care of everything in post. Not just the voices. Everything.
fucking hovercars? really?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.....coz that was so fucking annoying.

the blood I assume was to let the henchmen's corpse be identified as the other person..... but plane explosion? how to identify a piece of charcoal

why did Dent go after Gordon's kids?
what did gordon do to deserve that?

I'll be honest i haven't watched it in a while and don't remember this.

If Batman had been pretending to get Rachel then why didn't Gordon show up at Dent's building as well (Gordon says explicitly they are going after Dent)?

What i meant was that Batman knew what was going on. He knew the places had been switched and when he said he was going for Rachel he knew that Dent would be there.

Gordons decisions are irrelevant as they were just based on what batman told him.

I don't remember what context made me think this so i may have to rewatch.

Seeing how fast that thread fills up I might have missed it but have we any idea what Bane was saying in that last trailer?

"Gotham is ???. ??? my dis???sion to die"

Also the part where
the football field collapses
gives me a flashback of the silly
microwave generator
in the first movie.

No they weren't. Gordon got his destination from the addresses that the Joker told Batman, he was watching the interrogation and heard everything. The only communication between Gordon and Batman is to establish which of the pair they are going after, Batman is gone about 3 seconds after he gets the address.

When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die

I'm a bit worried about the final cut, couldn't understand Bale's 'This city is full of people ready to believe in good' in TDK either.

I am well aware of that. He did hear the addresses that the joker gave them and that's why he believed batman when he said he was going to save Rachel. Batman knew the joker was lying and Gordon didn't and when he was told he was going to save Dent he just assumed that was right.

I actually read the Rachel/Dent thing differently than others.

I thought that The Joker would assume that Batman would go after Dent, as Dent was far more important, and WANTED Batman to open the door to Rachel. The misfortune was two-fold, as Joker falsely lured Batman into saving Dent, yet Batman still ends up more hurt because his lover died. Neither truly got what they wanted.

I thought it was just playing on the fact that only Bruce knows how much he/Batman loves Rachel. It was a theme that also played out in the last scene where Harvey questions why he was "the only one that lost everything" and Batman just whispers that he wasn't.

Would he have went to the hospital to try and "turn" Rachel?

I am well aware of that. He did hear the addresses that the joker gave them and that's why he believed batman when he said he was going to save Rachel. Batman knew the joker was lying and Gordon didn't and when he was told he was going to save Dent he just assumed that was right.

Regardless of Jokers motivation, Batman was CERTAINLY out to save Rachel. Bats thought he was going to save Rachel and ended up saving Dent because of The Jokers trickery.

The scene doesn't even have any suspense or importance if Bats was trying to save Dent as you said he was. The whole point of the encounter from a "movie perspective" is that Joker outsmarted Batman.

He still forced him to make the decision to let Rachel die. I also don't see how it takes away from the suspense that way. Everyone was expecting batman to save Rachel only to realise that he was going for Dent.

Maybe you're right but i don't think the way i see it ruins the scene or anything.

lol, the most obvious scene in the world and people are debating over it.

Thankyou for your contribution, would read again.

Edit:Like i said i haven't watched the movie for over a year and i'm probably remembering things wrong. Still can't hurt discussing it.
