It is a pretty good indicator in this case. Yes, they do sell pretty much every game for 10-15% off. I've been following the Vita for about 2 weeks now though and it's either been marked up (up to 30,000 for the 25,000 version) or not available for pre-order.

For them to now have stock (hasn't changed in the last few hours) and be selling both versions at a slightly discounted price says to me that there is ample stock to go around at the moment.
In that way, it might be the case indeed. I just ment that i dont think it is a necessarily a good indication that they are sitting on a lot of stock that isnt moving at all (or very slowly) :)

Look at the 8gig card though. Has been 2200 for the last 2 weeks, now up to 4k. That's how they always get ya!

Yep :)

I just watched a bit of the Uncharted stream on Redsun. Looks pretty good (though I am burning myself out on Uncharted a bit atm, halfway or so through 3). Might get a Vita and Uncharted or Marvel.

Maybe Amazon are just discounting to try and get business from the stores, as it seems most people would rather get hold of it today, rather than wait until next week. it's not a huge discount after all.

I'm sure Vita will sell very well all over the World, but we'll see.

More Vita vs. PSP comparisons

This shot is literally impossible.

I can see the Go's aliasing from here, while the Vita's IQ is near perfect, not to mention the difference in lighting and models, among other things.

What sort of trickery is this?

IT's the same game, running on PS3 through remote play though. LOL

Of those three pics, the MH one is really the only fair comparison. 1st is just catching the LCD refresh oddly, 2nd has a light source right over the PSP screen but not the Vita.

It has a watermark, I guess is a ss of the game rather than the game running on the console itself idk XD.

Edit: Did Sony say what was the Jump Festa surprise yet or is it happening tonight?.

That's not it.

PS3 got an add-on to PSP Miku game, which allows you to play parts of it via PS3 in PS3 resolution. That is what is being displayed on PSVita, via Remote Play. Someone is trolling.

I realize that, but the PSP Remote Play is rendered at 480p. Is it the same for Vita now that the connection is faster?

Have we found out if the ultimate marvel vs capcom is the same trophy list as the ps3 copy the long wait til wednesday for my console is a killer.

So how are those analogs?

My main concern was their placement IE: they're that far off from original PSP nub placement which was an ergonomic mess. I mean, how does the device feel to hold?

Impressions would be greatly appreciated.

She is not even wearing the same dress lol.
That wouldn't really matter considering you can pick her outfit.

Which would look worse due to compression, yes? Even still it's not an accurate comparison.

Dunno, the screens I've taken on mine look fine to me and yes it isn't an accurate comparison no matter what, but the one I posted is!
Here is a screen I made myself:

Was the picture of Vita opened up posted?

It's not a full tear down or motherboard shot, but you can get a rough idea of things.

edit - found one that's more of a full tear-apart:

This is how far you'd go if you just wanted to replace the battery:

From RedSunGamer's stream, how restoring to factory settings works:

System settings that are going to be wiped (according the "restore settings" option) include:
- Network
- Sounds & Display
- Location Data
- Security
- Time and Date
- Languages
- System
- Power Saving Settings
- Start Screen
- Home Screen

This process only took a couple of seconds.

The Vita will restart upon completion, and you'll have to set it up as if it's brand new. The initial setup steps are:
- Language*
- Date and Time*
- Mobile Network
- Create new PSN account or use existing.
- Wifi network
- Credit Card confirmation (if attached to the selected PSN account)
- Sign in to PSN
- Privacy settings (who gets to see your friend list and activities)

This process takes roughly a minute or two, depending on how accustomed you are to it.

*Previous entries to these settings are saved on the battery, upon restoring it'll take you to directly to your last saved setting.

All that remains, is to ask whether the Vita will allow me to keep game content on the card when switching, even in their inaccessible state, or not. I just want to avoid having to connect to a PC/PS3 to transfer content every single time.

And failing that, how long it takes to restore content from a PS3 or PC (e.g. to transfer and install a game, let's say).

But, very useful post. This doesn't seem as bad as it could have been. I would tolerate that couple of minutes to go into Japan-land from time to time depending on what content is available where.
