Oh, and the new phones must be dropping fast in price as well. I got the Radar for $225 via Craigslist. Pretty cheap considering I just paid $200 a month ago for a HD7.

And also, I'm typing much better on this keyboard. Must be because I have smaller hands and this fits better. The auto correct is still crappy, however.

Haven't really gotten to mess around with any of the new settings, but I am definitely liking the "attentive phone" features and the new camera settings like panorama.

LG Quantum is $160.00 on Amazon. Thinking about getting that for my wife if I can sell her on getting smartphone. I think I detect a hint of jealousy when I pull out my Titan and took video of our daughter jazz band concert and post it to facebook.

I got the $25.00 Apps rebate cards from Microsoft. Interestingly, they send me two cards. So not a bad deal, upgrade to Titan for a penny and $50.00 worth of apps. I probably will give one of the card to my son along with my Focus.

If you love your wife and it doesn't have to be a physical keyboard, get her a Focus.

I got my wife a quantum because she specifically asked for a keyboard. She likes it a lot. Too bulky for me and the camera is subpar imo. None of that bothers her, although she is absolutely set on a lumia 800 next year. Here's hoping we get a version of that phone here.

Sadly keyboard is a must for her. Beside being bulky, what is wrong with LG Quantum?

I was also considering Dell Venue, but I don't think she will like the size or the form factor. Girl seems to like having phone that they can fit into a jean pocket.

Tango will have OS-wide screenshots? That and custom alert sounds are two glaring missing features. Would be nice if it came with both.

A simple, official app for making ringtones/alerts would also be nice. Making them myself isn't a problem, but someone who isn't very computer literate isn't going to be keen on using Audacity or something to make a ringtone.

Why didn't you have attentive phone on your hd7? Was a download from the marketplace, panorama defo new to radar/Titan due to the gyroscope.

Try easy ring in the marketplace or audiko.net.

hope the sprint rumor pans out. hopefully nokia and other phone makers step up at CES.

If CES is a bust then I don't know what to tell people about the platform. If we don't get some kind of preview glimpse of new hawtness from Nokia and more info on the next update then I'd find it hard for even the die hard WP7 people not to be like WTF is MS and their partners doing?!?!

Microsoft's CES keynotes are always underwhelming. The main focus this year will be Windows 8 and probably a preview of the beta. If Nokia has their own conference, then I doubt you'll hear much about WP, aside from the 5 minute mango demo with Liz the lizard and app marketplace growth. Sales and market share are still disappointing ("practically zero percent", is what the new president said), they won't show a Tango preview (why would they? It doesn't have essential features like copy/paste) and you won't see new phones, so there's just not that much to talk about.

I really don't understand the need for new hardware every few months, Android moves so fast that by the time the greatest thing since slice bread is released it's successor is announced so you either end up spending money every few months trying to keep up or never upgrade as you are always waiting, CES may show off some Nokia and the next update is minor so I doubt they'll sing and dance about that, maybe some info about the following one but again is just seems early to be talking about the full platform update which is when all manufacturers will be hitting the floor with new hardware.

I'd argue we haven't gotten a top tier Windows Phone yet EVER. That all encompassing phone that brings together mature software with stylish hardware coupled with great specs just quite frankly doesn't exist at least in the US yet.

I fully agree we don't need new phones every month, but we haven't gotten the singular next big thing yet. Also if the phone is a few months out from CES no reason NOT to talk about the full platform update. The idea would be the phone would probably ship with it stock, and probably be running pre release software to show the phone off.

Not having 4G seems to be more of a pro than a con.

Mixed bag. If your a heavy download user 4G seems like a boon, but if you just casually surf the web and check your e-mail while out it'll just be a battery killer when on. I never even use 3g 99% of the time so WTF do I know. LOL

Looks like only Verizon and T-Mobile offer 4G where I live. In fact AT&T looks like the worst carrier in the area by far :lol And apparently they have no plans for 4G in the near future.

Not surprising. I half the time I didn't even get 3G on my old phone.

Wonder I can just turn "4G" off? Probably wouldn't save me any battery life on the Titan.

and unless market share goes up we probably wont, we're never going to be hw feature par with android, I'd be surprised if we see a 32gb handset in 2012, we'll have dual core just as the lowend androids will be getting quad. Simple fact is the manufacturers are pretty much only fulfilling contractual agreements making windows phones rather than investing in them.

Nokia is a bit different being the only smartphone OS they use, but even then their hardware feature set is limited to what MS support at OS level, so no high res screens till MS say so, no bluetooth HRM till MS say so, no SD card that doesn't get formatted till MS say so.

If hardware is your thing you'll just either have to bite the bullet knowing WP7 will always be behind or go android/iOS

I'd love to see a decent WP7 with a good hardware keyboard as well =/

Whatever happened to HTC Prime?

So the PS Vita allows OS level screenshots, but why would they implement that? We've learned from Microsoft, that users don't want such a feature!

Okay, you can't compare it directly, because it's not a phone, but still, god damnit, Microsoft.

Fuck you. You made me go over to gaming side and look at the Vita user interface. Now there's vomit all over my keyboard.

You mean microsoft won't allow making screenshots of games on wp7 phones?
