Yeah. The commentary is a real fucking disaster now. Cole sucks anyways, but he's added a whole new layer of shit with the heel gimmick.

Lawler hasn't given a fuck in years and doesn't even know what is going on anymore. He's very replaceable.

I really hated how Cole and King no sold Ricardo's massive bump. JR would have been going nuts, not laughing about it.

They're both clowns, and Cole's an asshole. I really believe that some combination of JR/Matthews/Styles/Booker would make the show at least 50% more enjoyable. How people can say Cole no longer phases them is beyond me. It's like watching a program where an annoying ass noise is in your ear the entire time. They don't call moves, they don't push storylines, they don't bring up history, they don't build wrestlers, they don't get excited, they don't know when to shut up to let a moment happen, they don't know how to react properly to any moments, Cole isn't even a heel commentator but just a troll, etc. etc. It's to the point where I make it like 10 minutes, and mute the rest of the program, or just listen to music while watching. Terrible, terrible way to present your product.

I'm so used to them ignoring the match and no selling everything I didn't even notice. Having JR or anyone but Cole would make epic moments like that along with Bryan cashing so much more meaningful.
Btw kinda related but even in WWE '12 my cousin who doesn't watch or follow wrestling could tell how terrible the commentary is.

It's funny, I never really notice the commentary either way, but that really irked me. Poor guy just flew off a ladder, and the spot was minimized to such a degree that it wasn't even worth the risk for Ricardo.

It was an amazing bump too. Wrestlemania-esque.

And I know certain posters in here are against the whole UFC thing, but you watch a UFC event, and hear Joe Rogan marking out, or Mike Goldberg just being Mike Goldberg, on top of Bruce Buffer killing the ring intros and it adds a layer of professionalism or excitement to the viewing experience that the WWE REALLY lacks IMO. How many times have I bitched about the matches not having ring intros like the 2 top title matches did on TLC. Instead of throwing together some weak TV style matches no once cares about, or backstage promos with Teddy freakin' Long, why don't they give everyone legit intros on the PPV's, and build that hype?

For all the "presentation" love the WWE gets from guys who refuse to watch indy companies, they do a really terrible job of it aside from camera and sound work.

Good GOD...just look at PWG's card for Kurt Russellreunion III in LA on January 29th;

Been saying all along I thought Bryan was going to win the World Heavyweight title in December or January and then lose it at Elimination Chamber. Still think it will happen. Orton will be in the world title mix at WM, I'm just not sold on any particular scenario at the moment.

In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy Bryan as the World Heavyweight Champion!

...and a ton of others. Tonight was a great step toward the future of the wrestling business. That change I've been talking about? Started.

wwe isnt going to win over any new viewers when the first thing they hear is Cole being an asshat.

I hadnt watched Smackdown in a long time until this month. Each time the show opened i though to myself * well at least i dont have to listen to Micheal Cole* and then i was wrong.

Honestly my main issue with the e other than the booking is the announcing table. With the monsoon/mcmahon days, every match was exciting, with jr and king, a snail could be coming out to the ring, and jr and king would lose their shit. It got the viewer hyped for the product no matter how bad it actually was. Now, we get is twitter this, or the ramifications of said wrestlers actions. I don't give a shit what you thing about daniel bryan cashing in his briefcase, I have a forum full of people willing to argue those points, I just want you to do your job and call the damn match. I knew it was the beginning of the end with nxt when cole would put himself over the divas in the ring, and now he's just unwatchable.....

He did a freaking corkscrew, wow.

He IS HBK come again for selling.

Like I said after the match, my new dream in life is to see him eat a Stone Cold Stunner. He'd make Scott Hall and The Rock look like chumps.

They should really just have Stone Cold stun Ziggler for no reason, this has to happen!

^Damn I didn't eve notice Ziggler did a freaking corkscrew selling that rough ryder. Fuckk now I HAVE to see him sell a stunner.

it'll be like hall's except he'll do a reverse 540, landing on his stomache after 1.5 rotations.

Card looks great although I'm a bit startled by the low attendance. I wonder if it was the weak main event (and Ito's reign that has been dragging on for over a year?).

Attendance is definitely down from last year's Yokohama Gym shows, but they haven't sold out the place since 2008 (although they got close with the 15th Anniversary show last year). It's strange, last year BJW seemed to be turning a corner and there was a lot of excitement about the product, but Ito's huge-ass 19-month reign effectively stopped that, and to make matters worse it looked like they were building up Hoshino to take the gold from Ito, only for him to lose and freaking Abdullah to yet again come back into the title picture.

Yeah, Abby as the champ is as old as Ito's reign. Let's just hope we get someone new, like Takeda, to rise up and grab the gold. Hoshino certainly had the people on his side and I remember the crowd booed when Ito won.

..Or if they reconcile with Kasai and give him the title and the eventual rematch with Ito.
