What's the back story behind Henry's injury?

I'm so glad D. Brine won last night. Even he has a week long reign (which I seriously don't think he will) he's cementing himself a spot in the card which he really deserves. And the lack of Jern was a great indication that they feel they don't need to shove him in the main event for every show, even if it was a C-tier PPV. And CM Punk is the fucking man.

Anyone on the west coast notice that RAW in HD will not be playing at 6:00 pm? its now on at 9:00 pm TWC.

HD used to play 3 hours earlier, seems they stopped doing that.

--A note from earlier. Mark Henry's match was so short and they went in the direction they did because of an injury to either the groin or hamstring. The report we got is he has either a torn or severely pulled groin and need time off and shouldn't have worked but they needed to get the belt off him.

--Lots of talk last night after the show about how both of WWE's major champions first made their national name on the underground as stars in ROH. Regarding the Daniel Bryan win, I think we've learned winning the title in WWE and being treated as a world champion are two different things. But a lot of people who weren't viewed as world champion material got titles off the Money in the Bank for the first time, and some did better with it (Edge as the obvious one) than the company expected, and others (Jack Swagger) fell by the wayside. Each case is different.

--C.M. Punk after the show went off the air last night as a rib put the other end of his handcuff on Lilian Garcia and took her to the back. Looked impromptu but she was a good sport about it.

--Tribute to the Troops based on fast nationals did either a 1.2 or 1.3 rating. It would have been the second lowest rated show of the week among the big four networks.

--Ricardo Rodriguez got a lot of praise for his spot falling off the ladder through the tables last night.

--Shawn Michaels said: "Obviously a big congratulations is due to Daniel Bryan. I couldn't be happier for him. Awesome young man whose bright future ha started."

--Dave Bautista said: "excuse me! did I hear that right? Daniel Bryan World heavyweight champion. ummmm...ok." A lot of people got on his case over that and when people started going after him, he invited all the tough guys to come visit him at his gym in Tampa and noted he's been a supporter of the guy, noted he's aware of his hard work but "still...world heavyweight champion?" If you think of the world title meaning what it did in the past, his comments make sense. The world title was for a longtime established main eventer as the sign they were the biggest star in the sport at the time, not something handed out so everyone gets their turn. Once you get past that mentality of what it was to what it is now, it really doesn't matter who is the champion as much as who is booked in the position the champion should be booked in.

--Gabe Sapolsky said: "I think a boundary was broken last night by two remarkable athletes and people. This just validates that the best talent and the new generation of stars can come from the independent wrestling scene. I believe we have today's new stars in Dragon Gate USA and Evolve. the new Punks and Bryans are at the top of their game in each promotion." Give it a shot and enjoy the ride to the top of WWE. Congrats to Punk and Bryan. they both deserve this and worked hard for it."

--Kevin Nash talked last night like his match with HHH was the end of his career. In WWE, it was at least considered the end as an active wrestler in WWE. There is always the chance of a one-time nostalgia match like they do with Sgt. Slaughter, but I can't see any programs past something different for TV or one show for him at this point.

--Although John Cena claimed he would be watching the show last night at home on PPV, he was actually there in Baltimore. It was a surprise he wasn't used at all. Maybe they are trying to get over that stipulations mean something. That's going to be a long tough road after the last decade in wrestling.

All we know is it's a groin injury and he got it in his match with Cena last RAW. It was thought to be minor and the writers were just going to give him an easy few weeks to let it heal quietly, but when it turned out to be more serious (we don't know how much) Vince pulled the trigger on the whole thing.

What number is Punk at now?

Daniel Bryan said:
"Six years ago CM Punk and I wrestled a 45 minute match in Florida in front of probably 36 people. It’s fun watching us pretend to be superstars when we’re really just a couple of Indy schmucks."

I still kick myself for not knowing about FIP during the years CM Punk and Danielson were in it.

Yeah, 2004 was a really awesome year for FIP with the Homicide/Punk feud and guys like Roderick Strong, Antonio Banks (MVP), Jimmy Rave, Fast Eddie, etc on the cards. Also, I really loved the Erick Stevens/Roderick Strong feud a few years later, that was probably FIP's best period imo.

I'm really hoping Punk and DB team up or feud, or at least acknowledge their history on screen. And then have Colt Cabana win the Internet Championship off Zack Ryder.
