Gifts are fun! Especially opening them and finding out if you've won something AWESOME or just a lump of coal. This thread will help you figure out the cost/time/benefit analysis for each days gift so you can decide how much time/money you want to spend for a chance to win it big.
The format will be like this:
This will be a group effort and I will need the help of people actually doing these achievements since I don't have the time to do them all. I'll try to update the OP each night when I get home from work, but there may be slight delays so refer to the thread at those times.
Also if anyone wants to make little game bannerhead images to put before each game strategy, that'd be cool. I don't have time to do that myself but if you throw them in the thread I'll add them into the day's header.

DAY 1
--------------
Orcs Must Die - Deck the Halls - Complete the Hallway using only the Arrow Wall trap, weapons, and spells
----------------------
Cost = $3.74
Difficulty = Easy
Time = ~5 mins
Fun = Yes
Analysis: In the very first stage "Hallway", bring up your spellbook and equip only the arrow wall and your sword or spells if you have them. No other traps. Place a few arrow walls on the wall. Shoot the orcs with your bow or spells as they enter. When the stage ends after 3 waves you have the gift.
Bunch of Heroes - Holiday Survivor - Survive up to the 20th wave in Santa's map
----------------------
Cost = $2.49
Difficulty = Hard
Time = 30 mins+
Fun = No
Analysis: Survive up to the 20th wave in Santa's map; currently glitched?
EDGE - Snowblind - Find the six hidden switches in the snow-covered levels in December
----------------------
Cost = $3.99
Difficulty = Easy if you use a guide to find them
Time = ~10-20 mins?
Fun = No, controls suck on keyboard/controller.
Analysis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfvNEMjHt0M
Cargo! The Quest for Gravity - 2012 It's almost there - The Christmas bell tolls! You have been blessed with a present.
----------------------
Cost = $4.99
Difficulty = Easy
Time = ~15-20 mins
Fun = IFFY, game is weird in a strange way; slow LSD banjo nuts & bolts.
Analysis: The Cargo one is easy, just get to where you put the sail on the boat for the first time, and it will pop shortly after.
Anomaly: Warzone Earth - Santa's Challenge - Grab 20 Santa's gifts from missions 2-4 to get yourself a nice prize
---------------------
Cost = $4.99
Difficulty = Easy
Time = ~15-20 mins
Fun = Yes
Analysis: Anomaly's is pretty easy. Just get to a point where presents start dropping (halfway through Mission 2, or probably anywhere in 3 or 4), and start grabbing them. If your units get blown up because you're too busy grabbing presents, just pause and hit "Restart at Checkpoint" - it keeps the count of how many you've grabbed. Took me like 5 minutes to get a big "SANTA LIKES YOU" and get the achievement.

DAY 2
--------------
Spiral Knights - Son of a Nutcracker! - Hit an opponent with a snowball in Lockdown
---------------------
Cost = FREE
Difficulty = Easy
Time = 10-60 mins
Fun = No
Analysis: Go down the elevator and do some missions in the game, you'll get crowns and items you can sell for more. Get 200 Crowns to enter Lockdown mode. Hit an opponent with a snowball in Lockdown
Psychonauts - Holiday Dinner - Cook and consume two different kinds of roast in one sitting.
---------------------
Cost = $2.50
Difficulty = Easy
Time = ~5-10 mins
Fun = Yes
Analysis:
There is an easy way to do the Pyschonauts chieve.
First, grab the save file here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?73rlq7b1h57ub8b
Next, unzip the save file here:
Steam\steamapps\common\psychonauts\Profiles
You will have have to start a new game of psychonauts to create the Profiles folder. After the profiles folder is created, delete the Profile 1 folder you created with the downloaded profile 1 folder. Then load up the game and continue.
Use psychokinesis to set a squirrel and bird on fire. Once they burn up they'll drop food. Just need to collect one of each for the chieve.
Dungeons of Dredmor - Diggle Nog! - Make some Diggle Nog. Who doesn't love a nice cold glass of Diggle Nog?
---------------------
Cost = $1.25
Difficulty = Easy
Time = 10-30 mins
Fun = Yes
Analysis: The Dungeons of Dredmor achievement is pretty easy. You can play on easy mode and select alchemy as one of your perks, then just look around for the diggle egg and grog to craft diggle nog, along with an aqua vitae which you should already have. If you get lucky you can find vending machines with the grog and egg as well.
Use the Port-O-Still and scroll down to see the diggle nog recipe and to craft it.
Red Orchestra 2 - Fighting The War on Christmas - Participate in a successful territory capture on Commissars House
---------------------
Cost = $20! (>_<)
Difficulty = Easy
Time = 5-10 mins
Fun = Yes
Analysis: Join to empty server with Commissars House map, choose Alies and capture any territory.
Tropico 4 - Megalopolis - Reach a population of 1000
---------------------
Cost = $14! :|
Difficulty = Hard
Time = 7 hours+ without a save file
Fun = Yes
Analysis:
AI War: Fleet Command - In The Midst Of A Cold, Dark Winter - Lose at least 30,000 ships in a single game.
---------------------
Cost = $5-7.50
Difficulty = Easy
Time = ~30 mins?
Fun = ??
Analysis: Yeah. This one will only work if you have all three expansions, but if you do you can cheese with this save (found in this SPUF topic).
Make a profile called "C4SC4", activate it, load the save, and wait a few minutes, even well past 30,000 ships killed. Check "Military" under Stats for the death count, and you can speed the game up to +10 with the '+' key.
There's supposed to be a way to get the save recognized using the "manage players" option under the escape menu, too.

Day 3 - END
I realized I'm pretty much spending 15-20 mins a day just retyping this site: http://steamtreasurehunt.wikia.com/wiki/Winter_Objectives which makes no sense. Just go there.
The format will be like this:
DAY X
----------------
GAME NAME - ACHIEVEMENT NAME
Cost = game price for the day
Difficulty = easy/medium/hard
Time = roughly how long it takes to get the achievement after first booting the game
Fun = Yes/No, whether you're spending money on a game that's worth owning regardless of these achievements; aka, worth a buy? This is subjective so will go by general consensus.
Strategy = A guide to obtaining the gift achievement
This will be a group effort and I will need the help of people actually doing these achievements since I don't have the time to do them all. I'll try to update the OP each night when I get home from work, but there may be slight delays so refer to the thread at those times.
