Nintendo sure did a great job in resurrecting the 3DS. Once the handheld becomes profitable, I think everything will be much easier for them.

Holy crap at FF XIII-2. Those are really bad numbers.

Also the 3DS is pretty much guaranteed to have 3 million sellers by the end of the year.
 
Interestingly, there are some possibilities a third party game will be the first million seller ever on 3DS. It would be a first for a Nintendo's console, right?

Edit: Says a lot about the current climate when a major RPG psuedo-sequel on a Nintendo handheld outsells a major RPG psuedo-sequel on a Sony console.
 
I can't begin to explain how much serotonin and adrenaline my brain is producing right now.
Those numbers... there is no clear winner, no clear loser but I get the overall impression that everything is lower than it should be.
 
It looks like the 3DS will have 3 1-million sellers by the end of the year and the HW might cross the 4 million mark by the end of the year.
 
Good numbers all around expect for XIII-2 .
I sure SE wanted at least 750k sold , since they ship a million and i don't see this game having legs.

The sequel to one of the worst FF games does deserve that. Why they made a sequel to it is still baffling. There are probably a lot of FFXIII players like me who were so pissed of that they didn't even finish the original. Why would any of them consider the sequel?

Yup. Square-Enix really has lost the confident of many of their previously faithful (me included). I bought FFXIII and have not made it past chapter 4 still. I will probably beat it early next year, but the magic isn't there anymore.

Square and Enix were my 2 favorite companies during the PSX and PS2 era. Now they have become a shell that releases more remakes than quality original IP's.

Maybe I am overreacting, but I miss the days of Star Ocean 2 and FFIX.
