Hideout 1-3

This is fucking amazing. Amazing art and the horror scenes are awesome as well. Also this manga has some amazing close up face shots. I just love the atmosphere of the manga. The author really did a good job creating a horror feeling to the pages. Apparently he is the same dude that made Rainbow. Makes me want to read it but the translations are incomplete.

I'm going to check this out.

But she's Erza-zoned, there's been zero hints even subtle if that were to happen it'd be like an ass...pull...

Oh yeah... Fairy Tail, silly me. ¬_¬

They're pretty much just expys of Haru and Elie. It's gonna happen, whether it makes any sense or not. Even if Natsu's not into chicks.

I have read the first volume some time ago. WTF seinen is a pretty good description.

I probably have to catch up at one point. I remember not liking one of the main characters which is why I put it on hold.

I'm not sure which character you mean, but they all become likeable in the end. I don't know how the author does it but even the serial killers become favorites.

Written by a woman, which is even more wtf considering.

BLAME vol 4-10 (end)

I don't get it. I really don't understand what this manga is about.

- What exactly is Killy?
- How come this girl Cibo can do whatever the fuck she wants?
- What exactly is the terminal gene?
- What is the net sphere and why is it so important?
- What are the safeguard and the governors?
- Why do the silicon creatures hate humans?
- How exactly is this world structured? Shit makes no sense
- Why was there time travel?
- What the hell happened at the end?

Fuck. It shouldn't be this hard to understand the basic plot of a manga.

Hot damn it sounds like you read a manga, but didn't.

From what little dialogue there was, I'm not even sure I read anything.

Fuck, now I'm reading translations from art books and stuff trying to understand what the hell is happening. It really should never come down to this to understand a manga.

Shingeki no Kyoujin (Caught up with what's available)

This manga, it's pretty brazen about its themes of fruitless martyr~ism, misanthropy, and self-reliance. Literally, every team effort thus far has ended in disaster, which I'm momentarily cool with. The thing I'm not cool with however, is what it spells out for the progression of this manga.

I'm going to make a very broad prediction as to the end of this manga: nobody's going to be alive by the end of it.

None of that is really important Blame at base is a hero's journey manga. If you're really interested in some background info read Noise! its a 1 volume prequel that explains some stuff.

I actually enjoyed the journey. Most of the fights, the enemies, and the architecture were all enjoyable. I just wish the story stuff made sense.

I was planning on reading Biomega first, but reading Noise plot summary it looks like it will answer my questions better.

I read about 20 chapters of HxH and didn't care for it, and on of the few mangas that I decided not to just push though longer to see if it got better, due to the hiatus.

It's worth it. The end of the exam is great, and the characterization is wonderful as well. It's a fine example of a manga that doesn't rely on many tropes at all.

Karate Shoukoushi

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn son

saw it coming but still

calling it out now, ryu isn't landing a single hit

TLR 84-86

We didn't get the most important kid version. Screw this.

I guess kid Yami sorta makes up for it...

Shaman King 39-40

God dammit.

I guess that's what you guys meant by differences the manga being more graphic.

Biomega might actually give you better insight on the perspective of Blame. But yeah, read Noise, itll give you the background info you need. Oh also, there was no time-travel, they're silicon creatures, think about it.

But Blame being so hard to understand is part of what makes it a good manga for me. The world, and the hero's journey feels so incredibly alien, different from us, the way it should be when they are different from us in these big ways. Not to mention the awesome architecture.

Heads up, go read your zombie moe now. Who knows when the next one will come though...

Came here to post that~

Zombie Moe 23 - "...meaning this route has a pregnancy ending as well."

I'll say, that's one way to end a chapter. Though, it's manga so we need happy fun times so I doubt it'll go bad.
Though, coming back as a zombie as the "happy fun time" option is kind of peculiar.

Ippo, 953 - 959 - Now, I like Itagaki and I'm curious about the fight and everything, but, seriously guys, can somebody just get hit already?

i dont know about that, but hamada is gonna slap his shit hard. its amazing how scary that little fucker is compared to the others in his class.

Shaman King 39-40

God dammit.

yeah, faust... faust is something else.

Billionaire Girl

This is cute, I guess. The characters are serviceable enough, and it does an interesting job of covering the kind of issues money, and ultimately overworking, can cause within your everyday relationships--family, romance etc--even if it's only covering pride/loss of it facet atm. I'm looking for a bit of fleshing out here.

Kono S o Mi yo (Latest)

All according to plan. Get it, son.

Musunde Hiraite

This has some awesome bunch or art. The story so far has been all typical tropefest, but it's so pretty.

The Breaker: New waves (Latest)

This is a stupid as it's ever been. Not even a makeshift ost of ignorant throb can make this any better than it is right now. I just want fight's; big ghetto brawls that feature overly pretty woman and dudes getting fucked up. Obviously, I need the dragon dude back in this thing. He's off in south america somewhere doing the ghetto shit I want to see, from the last sighting of him.

Shingenki no Kyojin

Have I mentioned how much I love this misanthropic pile of panels yet today?

Gantz

Someone should remind this kurono that the other kurono is a clone too, so he doesn't really have anything to prove.

hell, come to think of it they're both clones of the clone kurono cloned from the original who died in the train accident.

Did Tobi really say this? That's such a lame quote. Fuck tobi.

As much as I hate Bleach, I must admit that it has some decent quotes. "Admiration is the emotion furthest from understanding" just about means something and sounds kind of cool. Tobi on the other hand, just sounds stupid.

nah tobi is cool.

[swag]hope is an admission of failure[/gaws]

Saeki has the experience and that's proven to be his advantage. I want to see his right

So do I. I just think they spent a bit long on the "look, they're both fast!" chapters. Let's get to the techniques here. I too want to see this right and hope it ... well, lands cleanly. Something has to give soon.

new moe zombie? christmas is saved

It's one of those bittersweet saving Christmas moments :(
