+Anima

I liked the ending, but boy did it feel rushed. Much of the series was building up to Cooro's backstory and I would say it was pretty underwhelming even if the reveal about his anima's origin was pretty cool. The world also has a ton of potential and it's really a waste to end it so soon imo. A lot more could be done with the royal family of Sailand, political stuff regarding the rights of +Anima, the research facility, and a lot of other stuff. I wonder if this got cancelled.

Anyway, this was a good series. The characters were really likable and played off each other very well. As I said before, Cooro and Senri serve as great foils even if that wasn't the intention at all.

While it did have comedy here and there, it for the most part had a subdued atmosphere with dark undertones. I usually don't like that kind of stuff, especially with fantasy, but I really enjoyed it. Taking the concept anthropomorphism and turning it into a subtly tragic story like this is something I'd like to see more of.

Deadman Wonderland

Bah, who the hell is Yosuga? She just became important all the sudden. God damn it, let Toto die already. Even her flashback was weak.

Are we talking about the interview Beam posted a few days ago in this thread?
thats right, and its really not an apology either. He just says thanks to fans for sticking through it though it is one of the darker arcs in bleach.

Edit: the only author who needs to apologize is kishi. Seriously, narutos been terrible for almost the entirety of part 2.

He should specifically apologize for that awful awful ending to the Pain arc. He must have been extremely high to think it was a good conclusion.

Perhaps Kubo forgot that Bleach started with such shenanigans as a dead child trapped in a cockatiel mentally tortured by the hollow of his mother's killer and dark as hell stuff like Orihime's brother being a hollow after death. You know, when everybody loved Bleach before it became an anthology of GETSUGA TENSHOU, dismemberment hentai and people appearing behind each other surprisingly like an eternal MC Escher painting of a frame within a frame within a frame.

Some filler douchebags completely stealing the Visard's poorly done to outcast in the real world shtick being 'dark' isn't what he should be apologising for.

AND OH GOD WHERE ARE THE CHAPTERS HFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFffffff

He must have been high if he thought that jump would let him kill off all of those characters.

Mario? the Mafia one

the manga kishi said he wants to do the most, but that was like 13 years ago.

I thought it was a baseball manga? Or was that the oneshot he did?

Lol, I remember the baseball one shot...the main character was batting and his glasses fell off and he's just like "It's ok, I've already calculated the trajectory" and hits a home run or something like that...

Kishi could be an amazing mangaka if he just publishes in a new magazine that isn't Jump that follows his own schedule. I really would like to see that mafia series he was planning a while back. Not a big fan of Bench

me neither. it seemed to me they just picked random mangaka to put out one shots, I forgot what they were calling that event.

Fullbring arc started off meh but got good for like 5 chapters with facebook/ginjo troll but turned to garbage the moment rukia showed up with those captains giving ichigos his powers back.

Naruto ending soon ...Ahaha yeah right, well naruto started off way better then bleach but became worse with shippuden only decent arc being the shikumaru vs immortal twins arc.

I am still amazed he drew something like that years ago... when you look at how he draws stuff now.

Lol you can't be serious. I mean I know, "lol opinions." The immortal twins arc was definitely a low point (another being the Sai arc) and Bleach has been consistently waning towards the end of the Hueco Mundo arc and the Fullbringer arc is irredeemable. Meanwhile, the kage summit and war arcs has been universally considered "decent" (and good by Naruto fans)

I know making fun of Naruto is the new "cool" but fuck get a clue dude.

lol no. The war arc is probably the worst arc in naruto. Hooray for more bad character development and repeat fights with dead people.

Hey, using "popular opinion" to try and legitimise your own is Big One's gimmick! We don't take kindly to gimmick stealing in these parts.

I don't think I've ever made this argument once and the only reason why you would ever think this is misreading what I actually type

Mangaf in prime big 3 withdrawal. Stay well Oda, Kubo, and Kishi.

I want the new chapters. I really want to see how this Bleach flashback kicks off as it could be the highlight of the arc (the Tsukishima trolling will be hard to top). One Piece I just got caught up with recently after taking a break from the FI stuff and now that we're in the transitional stages to the New World it is really getting great again. Naruto can be awesome if we get to some relevant action, and we're in a prime place to do that in the manga right now.

I don't think I've ever made this argument once and the only reason why you would ever think this is misreading what I actually type

It's pretty rich for you to accuse anyone else of not reading anything

Hooray for half-hearted retorts that have no content, you're really proving your case here. Bad character development? Did you forget Iruka's letter to Naruto? Itachi's speech to Naruto? To cases where Naruto needs to reevaluate his entire "raison d'etre" and it makes perfect sense since he's pretty fucking young. Several more cases follow, Sai's encounter with his brother, Omoi's anxiety, C's fight vs the Gin-Kin brothers, Asuma and Team 10 and more that I probably missed. but Its likely that you fall under the "wah wah my favorite character is sidelined, ergo Naruto is shit." The second part of your argument is also purely subjective because the edo tensei fights are some of the best fights in all of Naruto. Naruto vs the 3rd Hokage, Gaara vs the Mizukage, Madara's fight vs the Kages... these are quality fights.

Hating on Naruto is one thing), and I don't mind it if you provide legitimate arguments as to why its shit(See Stat, survivor) but I will not tolerate incompetent haters.

PS: The irony is palpable, a Bleach fan and sporting a Yukio avatar (arguably one of the worst bleach characters in existence)

Cool, whatever. My main point still stands.

Well the only time I've ever really mention is referring to specifically to the manga elite, not the manga public.

Like sure the manga public loves Naruto, and probably love this extremely shitty arc like PK Gaming said. If PK Gaming is part of that then that's fine, but I don't think I've ever made a single reference to them for my own arguments.

It's the same for any other terrible shit people like in masses. If I say, "It's generally accepted that Twilight sucks." I'm clearly not referring to the millions of fans it has, but rather actual movie buffs, critics, and just people who have respect for the medium.

Edit: Point is, two different worlds are being discussed here. I don't think I've ever went back to use the public to support my opinion

WHo the fuck is Omoi? No one cares about Sai, breh. Who is C? Gin-Kin was one of the worst things ever. Asuma's return ruined his great closure and the Team 10 fight was wholly unnecessary and the Choji flashback was poorly placed (it should have been done when his dad died).

And yeah. Lee, Shikamaru, and Neji make for much more interesting fights than Rasenganspam Naruto ever could at this point.

Omoi was the the village hidden in the clouds nin with the katana. He was part of the strike team. I actually really enjoyed Sai's fight (since I actually like his character) and he created one of the best fads ever.

KRn4m.jpg

Asuma's return was fine. Really, he was device to show how much team 10 has grown (and they have, they're pretty powerful ninja's)

Honestly your last point is pure opinion but i much prefer Naruto's moveset over a weak guy clone and Neji's one dimensional fighting style. On top of having Rasengan, Naruto has summoning jutsu (which he used) Sage Mode (which he used) and Shadow Clones which lends itself to shenigans.

I'd love to see a fight with Shikamaru though.

what you mean how the kage summit pretty much erased sasuke's realization as he activated amaterasu when he fought killer b. Perhaps, you mean the good development that's happened with sakura in the earlier parts of part 2. maybe, the good character development is naruto hyperventilating at the kage summit. Where is this good character development for the main characters. Im not even gonna bring up chouji somehow regressing at the beginning of team 10 vs asuma.

I don't care about Sai. He got embarrassed by the Sauce once and then the next time we came to him for action was about 200 chapters later? I have no reason to care at that point.

The time for Team 10's growth was against Kakuzu and Hidan. Kishimoto clearly succeeded in showing Shikamaru's growth in the fight against Hidan. This made perfect sense. What didn't make any sense? Why Ino and Choji couldn't have got a chance to take on Kakuzu and beat him in the end. Why the fuck was Kakashi even there? For no reason in particular that was a necessity when it came to the story. Choji and Ino got completely sidelined and became paperweights/liabilities to Shikamaru and Kakashi. And then Kakashi couldn't even finish the fight! Who did? Oh of course, Naruto to save the day with a one shot Rasengan. Lame. Very lame.

Team 10's growth needed to come at a time when their master had gotten slayed. Shikamaru's character arc was fine, but there was no need for Kakashi to fight Kakuzu and for Naruto to be the on that finished him off at all.

By the time it happened in the war, I didn't care about them because Kishimoto didn't care enough to give them their proper shine at the right time.

Much prefer Naruto's moveset over seeing Neji or Lee?

Dragonball, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Toriko main (party) cast tier list.

But what really caught my eye were the defenses of that terrible idea. Like this:

Okay try to make an opposing argument for any of those God Tier characters. I'm sorry but you just can't without looking like an idiot. Those choices are not only essential choices, but are played rather safe since most people agree those are the best (including myself).

And this:

Big One said:
For your Robin comment: Umm...yes? Most people agree Robin is the best character in One Piece, especially those who agree the CP9 arc is the best in the entire series. Yeah god forbid one of the most well-rounded, well-developed, and awesome characters in the series just happens to be one of the most favorited in the entire series. The fact that you feel otherwise is just odd.

and especially this:

Big One said:
Well I probably should've reword what I said. What I meant was that most people agree that Robin is the most well-developed characters in One Piece, and also has the best backstory. I don't think I've talked face-to-face with a One Piece fan who disagree, whether their favorite character is Robin or not.

I'm pretty sure most people would consider that trying to use popular opinion to legitimise your own.

None of these refer to the same group of people PK Gaming is referring to. Unless he was lying, no one who actually follows manga agrees that the recent arc of Naruto is good. Matter of fact, I'd say Naruto fans are the ones who hate it the most ironically.

And yes Robin really is generally agreed to be the best character in One Piece amongst the fanbase, in terms of actual character development in the very least, alongside Usopp

Though the public favorites are Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, Nami, and Chopper

None of these refer to the same group of people PK Gaming is referring to.

What the hell are you talking about? this has nothing to do with what is being discused about you.

It has to do with you using words like "most people", "most fans", "everyone" in order to try and legitimise your argument in the same way that PK gaming just did. The actual content of those arguments or the "people" being refered to are completely irrelivant.

It absolutely is cause if PK Gaming is referring to the same people I am, then he is straight up factually wrong. Just make a vote here on whether people like the current arc of Naruto and you'll get the results that refute his point. Do the same at Narutoforums and you'll get the same result.

Also re-reading those comments I wasn't really trying to make an argument, I was just curious how anyone could have an opposing opinion cause the most common opinion about Robin is that she is one of the most developed characters in the entire series. I dunno if I would even call that an opinion, more like a straight up factual statement.

You're wasting your time. Big One doesn't, in fact, speak English. He speaks a variant of your typical human communication in which every statement he makes is correct in some context. If you point out the fact that he said something that was wrong, he'll just argue that the meaning of his statement was misconstrued and actually, he meant something else, regardless of how unlikely it was he meant it that way based on what he said.

In other words, cognitive dissonance hurts him so much he literally won't accept anything that's incompatible with being right. For example, you're pointing out something about him backing up his argument by telling you what "most fans" think, but he's talking about a literal different subset of "most fans," regardless of how little sense that makes.

That makes perfect sense and there's absolutely no reason to use that argument in reference to the public on this board.

This post is fucking awesome. I love you Big One.

I eally should sit down and shotgun Negima one day. The anime turned me off to the series.
The manga turned me off.

Anyway,

-Merry Christmas all
-Stay safe Tactical
-Big three argument due to NOT having chapters, try alcohol guys
-I didn't read one page of manga like I said I would. I instead played 11 hours of Chrono Trigger on my DS for the 100th time. Hmm...
-Finale' of Unbalance×2 was just released. I can't wait to hate it.

I have no idea what you're saying, which brings me to another point: given the high rate of people "misreading" your posts, maybe it's your English skills, not everyone else's reading comprehension.
