Huh, just got a credit roll after the 8th chapter of LoA, despite there being at least 2 more...
Did you know, that Todd McFarlane worked on this?

I need to know more than "playable"! Does anyone like Tenchu, or has anyone played Shinobido and played the recent Tenchu on PSP or wii? :)

Have not played Shinobido 2 as I'm waiting for the U.S. release, but Tenchu 4 on PSP/Wii is completely different take on these games. The game is even more stealth-focused than before and much-less focused on combat, which is now in first-person and turn-based. The game is almost puzzle-like in nature and I found it to be a lot fun. It's better on PSP because the control set-up...not a fan of waggle.

Shinobido is more like the classic Acquire Tenchu games and feels rough around the edges, but is worth playing if you like Tenchu.

So a bunch of stores were selling imports on 25th and I caved in. :)

Quick and dirty impressions:
- UI is very fast and responsive but also a lot of animation crap that I could live without - thanks for nothing Apple and smart-phones. Dramatically better usability then PSP though, can actually do things like hop out of a game, turn on my BT headset, come back and continue where I left of.
- Screen exceeded my expectations. Now I find it painful to use any LCD device in the house anymore. It's like 10 years didn't happen and CRT just now got a real Upgrade.
- Virtua Tennis was the real wow moment - it's the true showpiece for Screen and the tech. it looks outstanding(sharp-native+AA, 60fps), surpassing the PS3 version in terms of wow factor by far. It went from not-on radar to instant buy for me.

Random tidbits:
- If you change the account, you don't need to touch your memory card.
- PSN downloads are not region/account locked after they've been activated

Today's batch of LoA screenshots. Too bad you can't press anything while it's saving, as I'd be able to take a lot better ones.

Reporting personally from HK AGS.....

PS Vita Bundle with Dynasty Warriors was sold out within one hour.
They still had quite an amount of other bundles/ps vita only boxes throughout the day.

I had visited the small shops below my flat, they also have stock but it seems to arrive only in small batches each day.

Le me: "Do you have the Dynasty Warrior bundle?"
Shopkeeper: "Nupe, you have to come tomorrow....come around 2PM"
*Shifts eyes to an big pile of PS Vita cardboard boxes beside him

Sure, dynasty warrior is really popular here. Does'nt really need japanese language knowledge to play it, and its quite easy to pick up, that explains the popularity.

But think Sony is still trying to withhold supply to make demand seeem higher.

Based on HKgolden forums, it seems that a chunk of ps vita games are also snatched up by people who want to resell it. It seems that there is plenty of wealthy people who don't mind paying 50-80USD more for day 1 in China.

Didn't the Dynasty warriors bundle come with a free 100hkd PSN voucher as well? could also help explain why it sold out so fast.

I tried to get minigol at AGS with my bundle but it sold out 30mins (!) after the show opened on the day I went.

Tilting the console sideways in Minna no Golf is kind of cool and useful. I am hooked in this game.

I had no idea you could do that...the AR mode is kind of hidden in Data by the way.

I am still struggling through Pro (3-1, 3-2, etc) - some of the courses are pretty sadistic - Nice Shot! (ball proceeds to clank against the side of a huge building)

I wonder when the balls/clubs I have will level up higher than Lvl 1. Some of the Japanese friends on my friends list already have a bunch of the trophies unlocked, it's crazy

- PSN downloads are not region/account locked after they've been activated

Wait, so I could activate my Japanese PSN account on my Vita, purchase some JPN PSP titles, switch the Vita over to my US account, and those PSP games will still run?

If so, holy crap, that's huge to me.

I thought this wasn't the case as want to grab some games and apps but doing ps3 transfer it said that I couldn't because it wasn't the account I purchased what's your PSN mate I will add you.

I'm thinking the same if I can use other store demo and contents I will buy a PSN card right now I want little deviants and gravity gaze I think demo should go live in about 7hours.

So much clarity needed on the whole region swapping thing. Going to get my EU VITA with EU games, but pre-ordered 2x 16GB cards incase I can actually get a Japanese account and some gaming there.

I don't know about being able to play them but even if you switch accounts the content will still be there at least that's how I understood it.

No. I've already tried and the Vita does not let you use a memory card that has content from a different PSN ID on it. You are forced to format it if you want to use that card.

You also need to deactivate content before resetting the system otherwise you lose an activation.

Lord of Arcana probably sold like cancer in a jewel case in the west so that's probably keeping SE afraid of bring Lord of Apocalypse over.

Dunno about Europe, but SCEA also may not be eager to allow it over, considering their longstanding opposition to approving straight ports from last-gen hardware.

From what I understood LOA is not really a straight port. They technically "enhanced" it with touch support and higher resolution graphics though I do not know if that would pass by SCEA.

- PSN downloads are not region/account locked after they've been activated

this would be quite epic - the thought did cross my mind that something awesome might happen and here's why

1. I downloaded some PsP games to PSN and copied them to my JAPANESE account (status: account - jpn, mem card - jpn, games - jpn)
2. I then switched to try and use US account on PSV - i inserted a new memory card and formatted it
3. I downloaded some US PSP games on the PS3
4. I went back to the content manager (status : account - US, mem card - US, games - looking for US)
5. NO US GAMES SHOW UP IN THE CONTENT MANAGER FOR COPY OVER
6. ... BUT JPN GAMES DO
7. I didn't try to copy over - but if it's possible what we'd have is JPN games on the following : account - US, mem card - US
8. IF the check that's stopping you using the games is simply the one that says : "Sorry, the memory card you have inserted is for user : DCharlieJP - if you wish to use this card with account DCharlieUS you must format it"
9. ... then that would potentially mean that Sony would have a huge security loop hole...
10. OR NOT - because ultimately you'd need to format the card in YOUR machine to validate it and it would still need to be ran in a machine with YOUR other ID to run. So worst case scenario it's only ever going to run on two machines tops

11. ... though i suspect the copy over process may just throw up a "tsk tsk, that's not your content!" flag

But we already have 2 different stores opened, the HK and the JP one (and both of them has free content). People with Vita can already make the tests to simulate the situation when Vita arrive to US and EU.

this is true - if someone doesn't do it, i can give it a whirl tonight. I'll have to set up a HK account though - not got one.

I dunno either, but unless it has Vita-exclusive cutscenes/stages/playable characters, it'd be in thorny territory at least.

I've tried downloading Litte Deviants from HK store as its in English. Problem is that it won't play on my uk account, just gives me an error.

If anyone with a Vita can test this I would be super grateful. Can you download demos from the JP and HK stores onto a PS3, switch to a US account on the PS3, and then install those demos to a Vita that also has the same US account on it?

I think this might work since in the past demos on the PSN Store have never been account locked.

So it's confirmed that demos/downloaded games are locked to one account? I personally haven't foundation way around this yet, though you can skip the reset movie by taking your memory card out when it starts :)

Yes, Square Enix even had the balls to go for a $40 MSRP when they launched Dissidia 012, and The Third Birthday for $30.

Wow, I follow SE pretty heavily, I'm surprised I didn't know. I guess I could buy Lord of Arcana off the PS Store and then just map camera to the second analog stick, I'd have the same game?

No, Lord of Arcana, and Lord of Apocalypse are 2 different games. The latter of which is supposedly a lot better than the first.

Yeah, it is. Arcana was pretty terrible but they seem to have fixed all the broken things in the sequel.

Jeels, if you know Japanese, here is the full list of gameplay changes.

Anyone with a Vita can tell me if the top is plastic or glass? Is the reflection perfect likeon the iphone or more like the imperfect reflection the psp has?

Okay, I just don't understand why it wouldn't pass this SCEA test then. Thanks.

Lord of Apocalypse was a PSP/Vita release, the fear is that because Lord of Apocalypse on Vita is more or less a PSP-port it wouldn't be given SCEA approval.

The top is plastic, but if by "reflection" you mean how easy it is to see something when the sun is shining on screen, Vita is better than an iPhone.

not sure what you mean by top part but the portion covering the screen is plastic, like all the other psp's

Right but the reflection, is it a perfection reflection like the iphone 4 or is the reflection more of a wavy reflection like the psp? Generally cheap plastic has that kind of reflection

so what's the verdict? There is a huge amount of original PSP games that I finally want to play. Is it worth it to wait for the Vita and grab the games on PSN? Or should I just buy an original PSP and hunt down the UMDs for the old games? Keep in mind that I prefer owning physical copies of games. Basically, is it still worth it to buy an original PSP?

Usually J-PSN updates at 11PM EST.

You should buy a PSP if you want the most from the libaray, as there's games that will never be released on PSN due to publisher bankruptcy, and licensing issues.

Cool. Yeah, I'll probably grab a PSP soon and then a Vita next gen :lol

Looks good to me. Honestly looks like glass, but the people here that own one say its plastic, so I believe them.
