Brah I've been syaing promo Kane talks like Kevin from the office since that shitty of a motheruck feud from last year. kane sucks.

I liked him better when he was quiet. Not a terrible promo, but that when he drug out "peopleeeeeuuuhhhh," that was unintentional comedy at its finest.

remember like last week when Kane came out and everyone ejaculated all over themselves. how quickly they turn, Rafa my friend, how quickly they turn.

As a closing segment, that was terrible, no way I'll be convinced otherwise. The Kane monologue was boring and left the crowd squirming for something to do at which point they went back to the default chant BEFORE Kane even made his point. Would've been fine in the middle of the show, y'know, when Cena actually called Kane out, but that was a weak away to close out the year.
I agree that it could have been done in the middle of the show but the promo as a whole didn't really bother me. It did its job in introducing why Kane's doing what he's doing and opened up the whole "Cena may go heel" storyline for the new year.

Ah, well. I'll stay quiet since I'm in the minority.

Going to bed. Here is my Henry GAF that I think is super cool...

You're probably not in the minority. I'm sure the late reviewers will come by raving about how great the segment was and telling the haters to STFU. Typical post-Raw shenanigans.

Then again, this is the same thread that was raving about Kane's title run promos with the dramatic music so I wouldn't put much faith in the majority opinion one way or the other. JUST DO YOU.

Terrible way to end Raw. Ziggler's win would've made far more sense. I have no clue why they went that way, please save us Jericho?

Got to see a little of RAW for the first time in like three weeks. Thankfully I haven't missed much apparently, reading the results it just gets dumber than ever. Hopefully a Jericho return next week can ignite a spark.

The funny part is that ending will probably do big overrun numbers compared to the match last week, and Vince will continue to laugh at the IWC.

Oh wrasslin, YOU SO CRAZY.

I'm looking forward to Heavy's "Monday Night Mark" Raw Review.

Ahem, time for mine actually in the meantime.

Ahem ahem

Ahem

It started out promising

Got through a few meh matches.

Proud of Ziggler winning it

Glad Truth is back to his crazy self

Kane's cheesy monologue was kinda amusing, love Cena's reaction.

Overall I'd say that Truth and Laurenitis were in top form tonight. Laurenitis has turned me around in my thoughts on him.

Me and John have a lot in common, I like the way he thinks.

Johnny Ace was legitimately the best thing on raw this week. I dont know what punks character has against the guy. he seems like a hoot to work with.

Kane was ok. When you have been around as long as he has and your not banging the bosses daughter you better know how to do deliver a promo.

Also man Punk's promo's have been watered down so much since the summer.

He went from edgy and 4th wall breaking to using Cena level come backs and random pop culture references now.

Lets go Ziggler! clap clap claplclapclap.

Vince once again ruins Kane

Reasons Kane's promo falls flat:

Cena has been doing just fine. He hasn't been on a losing streak. The promo would have made more sense if Cena had lost to Mark Henry for a few weeks and at a PPV putting him on a losing streak. WWE selling the idea that Henry is a monster and Cena can't beat a monster. Then Kane's promo would have been better in that to beat a monster you need to become one.

Why would Cena need to embrace hate when his win rate is the best in WWE? lol

The promo should have happened when Cena called out Kane.

Either R-Truth's return or Punk vs Ziggler should have closed the show. The Cena-Miz-Truth segment made 0 sense too.

I can guarantee that Vince rewrote this Raw at like 5pm today.

I do think it would help the "are the boo's finally getting to cena" thing if Cena actually lost a match in the last few months.

I hope he gets 1 clean lose against kane. Just 1. it will Sell Kane as a monster and help push the Cena thing.

Then Cena can ether snap or rising above the hate at Elimination chamber and we can have a nice conclusion to those weird thing WWE are trying to do before rocky shows he giant white as fuck teeth again.

So, after a year of Cena not being affected by booing and Cena Sucks chants, and cutting promos about how he doesn't care and he LOVES AND FIGHTS FOR OUR RIGHT TO BOO, all it took to give him inner turmoil was a long rambling promo from Kane? Sweet.

During the match, he had a gimmick where he was supposed to act confused at the booing and cheering.

I guess the writing for the "last straw" wasnt Kane, it was during his fight.

he's like...punk's friend right?

Basically yeah.

He did have his own WWE.com video series though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtqtqWfWDCA&feature=related

pretty sure he had more wwe.com videos then he had on TV matches.

Poor guy. for someone who has so many friends in the E and in TNA you would think he would be in one of those instead of scrapping a living on the indies.

Just get him a horrible accent and make him another tag team for santino

You're all crazy, Kane's promo was amazing!

I'm still sitting here pondering the deepness of it. I mean, embrace the hate? Wow!

Guys I dont watch wrestling at all but I am interested what ever happened to HHH?

Retired after he tore his quad and took the Walls of Jericho on the announce table.*

*may not be entirely true, may have married Vince's daughter and jobbed to future stars for the company**

**Entirely false

That sucks, I always thought he was the best heel from the time I did watch wrestling. I knew he was doing some sort of business thing with the company.

You probably tired yourself out from marking out to KANE!
I'm rewatching it, and I have to wonder who thought this was a good way to end the show? These types of Kane promos don't work well when the audience is too young to grasp the concept, and it's the point of the show where you need something big to happen to cap it off right.

If I was the writer, I would have scripted the promo to revolve more around Kane, who explains that he was weak when he faced Henry because he didn't feel the same hatred that Henry felt, so he went back to that point in his life when he felt the most hatred (when he had the mask). Now, he's able to throw Cena around, and beat him up, and he's trying to get Cena to realize just how much stronger you can be when you just embrace the hate.
