* Daniel Bryan and Big Show promo with Teddy Long. Show said that he is getting tired of Bryan coming out to help him. Long announces Daniel Bryan vs. The Big Show for next week on Smackdown.
 
I am *so* happy Cody starting wearing knee pads. His legs were just too naked without them. Felt dirty starting at him. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Dude is dashing, yo.
 
While we are talking about random crap, we should have the biggest WTF award. I vote Heavy for naming Breaking Bad the second best show this year while naming WWE Raw number one. How is this even possible?

* Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett in a falls count anywhere match is next. Orton threw Barrett in the crowd and the referee gets knocked out. they fight to the backstage area and brawl like they did last week. Backstage an elevator door opens and they fight in an elevator where there's an elevator cam set up. Later, Barrett threw Orton off a set of stairs. The show ends with Orton in extreme pain after being pushed down the stairs. The crowd is not happy as they were not sure if the match was over or not.

I wonder if this is an angle.

Glad my man Teddy Long is gettin' some respect in here. Brah has really slimed down Vicki Guerrero style and should get his own photoshoot to flaunt it.

* Booker T opens the show with an in-ring promo. He thanks the fans for all the support this year, but is interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Cody insults the fans, then turns his attention to Booker, saying that his career in the ring is over. Goldust comes out without any makeup in a suit, and warns Cody not to insult legends. Cody begins talking down to Goldust, but Booker defends him and challenges Cody to a rematch for the Intercontinental Title next week. Booker then exited the ring and Cody attacked Goldust. Booker ran back to save Goldust.

* Jinder Mahal b. Ted DiBiase with a Camel Clutch

* Drew McIntyre interrupts a Teddy Long/Aksana segment. Drew announces that he is back on Smackdown, but Teddy says that he thinks Drew has lost his passion for wrestling. He says that if he loses tonight, he may have to start looking for new work.

* Alicia Fox & Kaitlyn b. Natalya & Tamina. After the match, Tamina turned on Natalya, attacking her with a superkick and a Superfly splash.

* Daniel Bryan & AJ appear to cut a short promo, but Big Show interrupts and tells Bryan that giants like him don’t need to be saved. Teddy Long comes out to the ramp and announces that Big Show will face David Otunga tonight, and Mark Henry will be in his corner. He then says that maybe Big Show will need Bryan’s saving after all.

* Hunico b. Justin Gabriel

* The Big Show b. David Otunga. Mid-match, Daniel Bryan ran to the ring and attacked Mark Henry with his World Heavyweight Championship. Henry then chased Bryan to the back.

* Ezekiel Jackson b. Drew McIntyre

* Sheamus cuts a promo in the ring about winning the upcoming Royal Rumble. Hornswoggle then comes out and Sheamus asks him who will win the Rumble. Hornswoggle says himself. He is then interrupted by Heath Slater, who tells Sheamus that his dreams will never be realized. Sheamus tosses Slater over the top rope. Lilian Garcia announces that Slater will face Sheamus tonight.

* Sheamus b. Heath Slater

* Big Show and Daniel Bryan speak with Teddy Long. Bryan says that he’s become Show’s good luck charm, but Show says he’s tired of Bryan trying to help him. Long announces that Show will face Bryan next week for the World Heavyweight Title.

* Randy Orton faced Wade Barrett in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The match went backstage and at one point, their brawl went into an elevator. The match ended when Barrett threw Orton down a flight of stairs.

You know, it ain't even the fact that the title is on the line next week. It's the lack of a decent buildup. Make that match, but give Show a title shot if he beats Bryan. Don't just all of a sudden make the title match next week with little to no time left in the show.
 
Is anyone else annoyed when Punk repeats what the other person says? i don't recall him doing it that much when he was cutting promos before his breakout, but now he seems to do it every single time he is on the mic and on many occasions.

Punk's run up to MITB was great as well. It was just real enough to make you wonder....

and I also like how punks first "shoot" he was trying to heel it up some but next time he is on he was "the voice of the voiceless" and all that jazz.

its a shame Punk lost that fire he had during that build. He was still on it up until Summerslam then it all went to shit with HHH and Nash.

The contract signing between him and Vince was the stuff WWE promo's has been missing for years... Intensity.


Also WWE news years resolution should be NO MORE CONTRACT SIGNING SEGMENTS WITH CM PUNK. dude has been in about 1 a month since MITB.

If randy's out for a long period of time that means Punk will probably be drafted to SD to fill the gap.

I know punk isnt what he was but I would take watered down punk vs the John cena show anyday.


I cant tell from the spoilers what happened... I wounder if
the ending to that match with barret was because randy legit couldnt finish and they just ended it.
 
I seriously don't understand why they are still burying McIntyre for the behavior of his wife who hasn't worked for the company in over a year. He's one of the best wrestlers in the company, can work the microphone, and is a solid hand.

Just fucking release the guy already and let him go do something else if you're going to constantly fuck with him.

But oh yeah. Be A Star!
 
Perfect timing for Orton to be injured, right before he was supposed to win the Rumble. Pwinsider is reporting that he injured atleast one of the discs in his back. I guess this is good news for Daniel Bryan as champ.
 
Randy Orton suffered an injury at tonight's Smackdown taping, where he faced Wade Barrett in a Falls Count Anywhere match. WWE has already disclosed the injury via their Twitter account but did not disclose the nature of the injury.

PWInsider.com has confirmed Orton's injury was back related. We have not confirmed the severity but know it was something to do with at least one of the discs in his back.
