Why not just punch me in the crotch, IT HURTS MORE.
Why the hell isnt there a Yotsuba& anime yet? It seems so perfect for one.
We can only hope, but as much as we need a Yotsuba anime, anime doesn't deserve Yotsuba. :(

Natsume S3 06 - 08

Quite enjoyed this bunch of episodes, although with episode 8, I'm understanding the theme of Natsume's "forever alone", it's just that, that point is getting beat into me a little too much, the show is definately more interesting when it's dealing with other demons especially when other exorcists are involved.

I haven't laughed this much in a while. Thanks.

Finished off Blood-C.

After a fairly slow few episodes, I actually enjoyed seeing what it ended up being.

Do we know if there is any more planned?

*sigh*. No more Ika Musume, no more Ben-To, no more Boku Tomo, no more iDOLM@STER, what am I going to do now?

Has there been anything half decent this year for anime? I'm talking original series, not LN-adapted stuff like Haganai. The only anime I saw this year was the 1st episode of Guilty Crown and wanted to shoot myself after going through that episode.

Screw the haters but I enjoyed Ano Hana. CHack that out.

The best original anime this year have been Hanasaku Iroha, Madoka Magica, Mawaru Penguin Drum, and the 4 shorts of the 2010 Young Animators Training Project.

Being adaptations shouldn't prevent you from checking out excellent shows such as Chihayafuru, Level E, Usagi Drop and Wandering Son though.

Usagi Drop was the best original anime this year.

In all seriousness the most enjoyable anime original series this year for me was Madoka and nothing was really even close.

What do you have against adaptations?

On another note, watched 3 episodes of Horizon. Should have dropped it after the first episode.

The most important thing about that Nise trailer is getting to hear the TV size of the ending theme, even if it is mostly in the background.

I found the first 4 episodes to be a completely insufferable experience but some major crap happens in 4-5 and for me it actually became interesting then and for most of the rest of the show. Wasn't great but found it a lot better than the first few god awful episodes.

Mind sharing why we have such a narrow spectrum on anime like that?

Nothing wrong wiith it, it means you're less privvy to filler, zero chance of getting spoiled beforehand and there will actually be a conclusion at the end unless you're Sunrise.

Considering we have manga adaptations of projects created as original anime start before the anime does, or things like the Penguin Drum novels, this isn't quite accurate.

I'll try that out

Errm, i'm not sure what your question is exactly. I don't have anything against adaptations, just not LN stuff because i'd rather read em. (last years Den Yuusha was not nearly as good as its LN counterpart, and i liked haganai's anime but the novel was better imo)

When i watch anime I like to watch new stuff, but i wouldnt mind receiving some adaptation recommendations if they're really good (Like bakemono)

Im usually more into the romance type stuff, maybe you guys have some more recommendations?

Heh it's just that your request is unique, so I was just curious behind the reason for it.

I think Tiger and Bunny is an anime original to, but as I said before... Sunrise...

Does bromance fit under the romance umbrella.

Good man/girl. Let us know what you think about it when you finish it. It seems you will either like it or hate it.

For romance, I agree on Chihayafuru being one of the better ones this year.

Sure thing

Sure.. as long as it doesn't get into shonen-ai heh

I need to finish Tiger And Bunny. halfway through it, and all I can think is that a more appropriate title would have been Tiger and Douchebag.

Never found it apealing, that one. did it became better later on?

It's an enjoyable enough show, I'm having fun. Early on I just wanted Barnaby to die. Now after hearing his backstory, I want him to die in a fire. He's just a jerk. And not in the likeable "Batman's an asshole" way.

Another question folks, how's SnS season 3? I remember watching the 1st season god knows how long ago and thought it was decent, but when I watched the 1st episode of the 2nd season, I was kind of put off how generic it was. Does the second season get better? Is the 3rd season worth watching? Does the main character mature into his role?

Honestly, I think Shinji is the only "pathetic"-archetype that I find to be a really good character, well then again nearly every character in evangelion is god-tier

Symphogear promo

Well the artwork and premise seemed kind of compelling and the music. I may just give it a watch afterall, should at least have some bit of entertainment (hope it has tons of battles).
