Basically you just say you are interested, I put your name on the list of entrants then have a website randomize the order. Say you end up being number 12, the 12th entrant into the Rumble is your representative. If they win then you win, simple as that really. It's nothing too serious, it just adds an extra bit of fun to watching it.

Also, in what I'm pretty sure is a first in wrestling, during the post-match 10 bell salute after Yoneyama's retirement ceremony
Kaori breaks down in tears and says she doesn't want to retire. Emi Sakura is pissed, as are some of the fans and JWP had to offer refunds. Shortest retirement ever?

The situation hasn't gone over very well in certain areas of Japan's wrestling scene.
To some it felt like an intentional bait and switch while others just don't like the fact that Kaori went against her word (and us experts all know how important honor and shame are in Japan [/meme]). TAKA Michinoku and Kana have been the most vocal about it, with Kana saying this stunt is the reason why she hates joshi wrestling. But you have to remember her gimmick right now is to be a controversial bitch so take that with a pinch of salt. Not sure about TAKA's views though.

Details are sketchy regarding what happened with Randy Orton but he does have a back injury and is out of action. We're not clear of the severity of the injury at this point. The scripted going down the stairs would make it seem to be a pre-existing injury, combined with the fact since the 12/19 Raw he's been put in positions where he's been protected from doing a lot of physicality on television.

Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett will be taking place at the Smackdown house shows this week. Not confirmed, but we heard they will move one of the Raw matches to Smackdown tour to help fortify the lineups starting tonight.

I watched with friends last year. We had a drinking game:

  • If someone is eliminated, drink.
  • If someone is eliminated by CM Punk, drink Pepsi.

We also watched the 2004 Royal Rumble and played "Employed or not?" You had to guess if the next entrant was still employed with WWE or not. If you got it wrong, you drank. There was disagreement about whether Booker T qualified as employed or unemployed, though I'm not sure he was even in that Rumble.

Also Cena didn't overcome the odds that time.

Possibly one of the last times I marked for Cena too.
 
Last year's Rumble was one of the worst of all-time, no hyperbole. The Rumble itself was just brutal. It felt like cartoon comedy shit. The Hornswoggle + Cena tandem completely ruined it and took me out of the match. Let's hope they take it a bit more seriously this time.

EDIT: oh and the Santino comedy garbage at the end, just terrible. Made a complete joke out of the Rumble.

For those that don't know/weren't here for last years what happens is you get randomly assigned a number that corresponds to an entrant in the rumble. If that entrant wins then you win. It can make the Rumble more fun by giving you a bit more investment in it, you can also end up cheering someone you wouldn't normally.

I'm in for the Rumble Lottery again. Hopefully i can beat last year where i got Gabriel who i believe was the first eliminated?
 
Ok we are now well over 30 so it will be split into two blocs at some point later. I could just do it in order people said they were in or could start grouping it so that people who want to be in the same blocs are together. Let me know which way you want to do it.

I think the first way would be best.
 
I'm in for the Rumble. I had Zack Ryder this year and this is back when he never won and everyone thought he was gonna be fired every week. After I got him as my pick look at the year he had. I'm officially good luck to any wrestler I draw as my pick lol
 
Do you wanna split Ramblers by pay-scale? A free Ramble and then the optional pay Ramble? I'd be up for the 'pay' bracket to win the bucket o' dollars.
 
I want in the rumble too. I almost flipped a table when I got mason ryan. What a fucking gypp.
