There's way too much moe/fanservice-focused stuff these days because they get the most DVD/blu-ray sales. I think once this popularity wanes (if it does) we'll get good stuff again. That's not to say there aren't those few gems every year even now, but i'd like to see an era where we can just get normal story/character driven content like in the past. The 90s and early to mid 00s were a great era for anime fans. Right now this industry looks hopeless but only time can tell.

Of course, we mustn't forget Amagami+ plus. An all-new season with a new director at the helm who promises a more anime-original focused series compared to the first one. Which means, it'll be a surprise for all. (Though hopefully they'll fit in some of the stories from the chotto omake scenarios, because those were pretty fun.)

It depends on what you are trying to say. If you say the shift in art and animation style is more focused towards moé because it sells, then yes. If the shows and stories nowadays aren't to your personal tastes, then yes. But this year has actually been pretty good at keeping the number of shows that are purely driven by the art and designs for sales and not by any real content or substance at a lower ratio.
