BROCK TO TNA

It would be a waste of money for Brock to come in right now. It would be better to save for the down period in the Summer/Fall or for next year's Wrestlemania. It benefits Brock to do the Undertaker thing and come in for a few months before Mania and get the huge paycheck and then leave again the most. Obviously Dana will get a cut of any money since he is still under contract as well.

Vince has no morals, and is really one of the worst human beings out there. Think about what he did for the wrestling industry. If you're not in the wwe you're not making anything. There's no where to work anymore. Only a few in TNA make a good living.

WCW tanking because of Turner getting kicked out of aol time warner merger, and ECW going bottom up because of lack of money, what did Vince actually do? He's a businessman first, his storylines tend to be terrible, but he's hasn't gone for any companies throat's. WCW was beating him in ratings until the whole Turner merger.

LMAO, wow. Kofi RIP.

With the loss of Randy Orton, there def. has to be a shifting of the talent towards smackdown again, and Brock can fit right in.

A Lesnar/Taker build could work pretty well if done right. Brock is guy people can buy to end the streak, and they do have quite a history against each other.

But these are things current WWE doesn't care about, so the build would be junk.

The only problem is Vince has all of the leverage on Brock now, he cant do UFC for health, he has no NFL chance. He's basically stuck as a commentator for ufc, or get a regular job.

I was never a big Brock guy, and I hated him in UFC, but I hope things work out well for the guy, he seems like he genuinely cares about what he does.

The end of the territories was inevitable.

Even so, it's undeniable that the territory days were better for wrestlers and the business as a whole. Sure, Vince's business grew to astronomical levels and with it wrestling reached a new and unprecedented level of popularity, but that only enabled a comparative few to capitalise, whereas the territory system meant there were just far more options for everyone to make some good money without having to be beholden to Vince or Turner, or up sticks and prioritise Japan or Mexico or Puerto Rico.

Brock has enough money that he doesn't need Vince. If Vince doesn't give him an offer he finds acceptable (large amount for a few appearences) he can just go live on his ranch for the rest of his life. Also Vince tends to respect people who tell Vince to go fuck himself. He doesn't fuck too much with Lawler because Lawler has left before and also succesfully sued him. It's the people who have no other options and say stuff like "I sure had a great time in WWE, hope they will give me a call to come back soon!" that he can fuck with.

Absolutely, I didn't mean its great the territories are dead. Just that blaming Vince for it doesn't really work since although he was directly responsible for their end what we have now is sort of inevitable because of the rise of national and international television.

I know he has money. I mean that if Brock REALLY wants to come back to WWE, Vince has all the power in negotiations this time. Unlike that excerpt from his book. If Brock wants a job, he's very limited with his limited skill set. I'm sure he could retire on UFC money alone now tho.

I'd love Steph to be back on TV full time. I think she's a much stronger dislikeable 'heel' suit than anyone else. Vince flip flops all of the time but Steph's character has always been a bit more cunning and machiavellian.

The product lacks something without some McMahon presence.

Steph is clearly getting all muscled up so Vince looks at her and says "now THERE's the son I always wanted!" and can leave the running of WWE to her in peace.

Wrong. They're going to save Vince's brain and he'll have a huge comeback later to run things.

Exactly - I think Brock would be just as happy going back to his life on the farm/ranch. Vince is going to have to make it worth his while.

And just because Brock crumpled to Overeem (i'd like to see anyone else in the WWE stand up to that strike power), doesn't mean that Brock is still not a mega-star that could draw MMA followers back into the wrestling world, if only for a short bit. Dana White knows that, which is why he was so deflated yesterday during the press conference, and Dana's already said he is willing to work out a deal with Brock to "go to that other place", so I bet Dana appreciates the business/money it could bring.

I'm dubbing my In Your House VHS tapes to DVD. Tonight's event, Mind Games. The main event is Mankind vs. Shawn Michaels (champion.)

Funny thing about watching this; the opening match on the Free For All is Marty Jenety w/ Lief Cassady Vs. Savio Vega. I find this funny because Marty was Shawn's former tag team partner, and Lief (Al Snow) is Mankind's best friend. Opening match guys are friends with the main event.

Plus, I hope you all know just how FREAKIN' awesome Mankind v. Shawn was. IIRC both say this was one of their best matches ever.

I miss JoMo.

There. I said it. Judge me all you want.
All he had to do was at least have taken a swing at Batista and dumped Melina like hot fire and he would probably be US or IC champ right now.

You got your own equipment for that? How hard is it?

It's quite simple actually. I have a VHS deck routed into a Toshiba DVD burner. I press play on the VHS player, and press record on the Toshiba DVD burner.
